The merge cube lets you display 3-D objects on a simple cheap foam cube. This means that you can hold and move 3-D models by looking at them through this app. The upload support is top-notch. Exporting from Feather 3-D (AMAZING for figuring out concepts with simple modeling) on iPad, importing models is one click.
The ability to build structures and interact with uploaded objects in the real world , scaling them up to room size, is remarkable. The tracking is excellent, and brings a level of immersion I did not expect. Wish list:
Allow objects in World mode to snap together (horizontally + vertically), a camera button, and bring back VR support!

Object viewer is truly unique. Teachers can have any teaching aid right at their fingertips to enhance a lesson. Students can explore their interests and search through a wide variety of collections. This makes science so fun and engaging!

This app definitely gets 5 stars in my book! It works amazingly well and the objects viewable are truly educational and engaging for students! This app definitely brings science to life and allows students to become personally connected to their learning!
Science, STEM, Storytelling!
I am in love with this app! There are countless manipulatives available in the library! As with Merge Explorer, you can place these into your current environment, but this particular app allows you to add and move several different objects into an environment! It saves your work, and you move the next object in. This will allow students to do storytelling with the objects!! I see great cross curricular opportunities here- science, STEM, ELA, Social Studies, and theatre could all “merge” together here to create profound learning opportunities!

Im regretting it
The app crashes almost Constanzen I try viewing my own objects. Also, when I try to add labels to my objects the just float around and sometimes even collide with the shape itself, making it unreadable. It doesn’t help that you can’t move the labels to where you want when you place them. And don’t get me started on the online 3D interface. Any and all changes are simply NOT APPLIED. Imagine painstakingly fine tuning your model, clicking save, exiting the viewer, just to find out your changes weren’t implemented
