Points expired for inactivity
It takes awhile to get points on here. I’m finally accumulated enough to almost get a five dollar gift card. Then I went on a military deployment then I just saw that my account points expired after six months. I feel scammed.
Great tips and rewards
I have enjoyed using the Merryfield app. I have enjoyed receiving tips on new healthy products.
Point system is terrible
I mean, the app overall works just fine. It scans receipts no problem and it’s easy to use.
The problem I have with the it is that it takes WAAAAY too many points to get just $5 bucks. It’s 5,000 points for $5 bucks and each receipt you scan is only worth 1 point. I use about 6 or 7 of these receipt scanning apps and NONE of them build points this slow. It definitely needs to be revamped and fixed. At least 10-20 points per receipt would fix this app.

One point receipts?!
Every single receipt is one point… That’s it… No more no less. The rewards are not worth sitting there even looking at stuff and take way longer than most apps to accumulate.

Pictures of items purchased
It’s so nice to earn points on healthy products, but my goodness their system can’t seem to recognize the printing on the receipt and then you have to upload pictures of the item you bought along with the barcode. It’s very annoying because sometimes you’ve already used the product or thrown away the packaging and then you won’t get points for it. I don’t know if other people have had this trouble but they need to get better software that can recognize store receipts and how they are printed and what the product is on them that you are trying to get points for. Maybe they can improve this feature but in the meantime I will be deleting my app until they can get it fixed.

Not user friendly
Very hard for this app to accept brands on the receipt
Too much work
The electronic connection to retailer is does not work as it doesn’t give you proper rewards for items purchased when you scan and receipts. Alternatively, the manual process of scanning a receipt is even worse. It misses over 90% of the items and you spend a lot of time editing the receipt to request review lately. There has been a glitch in the app and just not worth the hassle. Frankly, I’m sure there are other better options out there.

This app sucks
This app sucks you need tons of receipts and they’re each worth one point. It will take somebody forever to get just five dollars. I don’t recommend using this app there’s no way that somebody could reach five dollars within one year on here. I’m looking at this and it looks like it will take me about four years just to get to five dollars.

Slow and tedious for only 1pt
I use three or four receipt scanners and this by far gives you next no to rewards, considering 5,000 points is $5 and it’s 1 point per receipt scan most of the time* (i’ll be at occasionally, randomly I get 5 or 10 points).
Basically, a complete waste of time. All, while they make money off of my data, I get nothing in return.

Never syncs with Amazon
This app never syncs with Amazon - Whole Foods. I have to email the receipt to customer service support every time I have a delivery. This is frustrating!
2nd review ! Still doesn’t scan my Whole Foods on the Amazon digital receipt option. Quite annoying to send receipts to support I’ve missed so many receipts.

Still waiting for the 6000 points
I am still waiting for the 6000 points for signing up. I received the 500 points but not the 6000. I have contacted customer service several times but no response.

With every receipt I scan and see money grow with this simple gesture makes me happy in a world where every little bit helps.
Rewards Take Forever
I downloaded this app and started using in December 2025, I’ve on average scanned 3 or 4 receipts a day. I am barely half way through to receive a $5 payout and it is June 2026. This is definitely not the best app if you’re taking the time to scan receipts everyday.
