Didn’t work for me

Attempted to pair my new Heltec V4 boards without success (five times). App would ask me to enter the pin, which I did, then gave a red warning box saying it had failed and I would need to forget the device via BLE settings. First time, I thought I had made a typo on the pin. After four more times, I’m sure it’s the App.

Original and best

The Original and only true MeshCore 🙂 Thanks to Liam and the team , and Scott and team on the radio side . The community are with you 🤙

Good overall

I have been using app for a while and I like it in general.

A few features would be useful on iOS. First, background connections and updates. I don’t take the client all the time but I know iOS can connect and receive BLE notifications when app is not in focus.

Another one is limited contact list. I think it is okay to let it grow beyond 350 contacts.

It would be nice to have about section for contacts as well.

One Fatal Flaw

As other reviewers have pointed out, the Bluetooth connection between the app and the radio disconnects when the app is closed and the radio must be manually reconnected. I’ve tested multiple radios and the problem persists. I’ve had no problem with the android and web versions of the app. I love this app otherwise so I hope they can get it fixed soon.

Bluetooth is broken

App under android works perfect. Mesh with meshtastic works perfect. It disconnects from Bluetooth an until we fix that, won’t work well for its intended purpose on iOS

FAQ

What does the MeshCore app do?

The MeshCore app facilitates secure, off-grid communication by connecting to supported LoRa radio devices. It allows users to send messages to other discovered users on the same frequency without needing an internet connection or cellular service.

Key features include secure, off-grid mesh networking, compatibility with LoRa radio devices flashed with MeshCore firmware, Bluetooth pairing with your device, custom display name settings, and the ability to discover and message other users on the network.
