What's New in MeshCoreScanner

2.0

June 22, 2026

Version 2.0 — a refreshed interface, built for scanning on the move. • New live status panel on the map: a clean, expandable panel at the top shows the current scan status, a summary of the last scan, and the most recent repeaters in large type — each with its signal strength (SNR), a trend arrow, and a "NEW" badge for first-time finds. Swipe it up (or tap the chevron) to collapse it to a slim status bar and free up the map. • Driving Mode: tap the car button on the map for a full-screen, glanceable display of the latest repeaters in large, high-contrast type — perfect for tracking repeaters as they appear while you drive. Tuned so several repeaters fit on screen at once, and the screen stays awake. • Signal trend arrows: see at a glance whether a repeater's signal is getting stronger or weaker since the last scan — handy for telling whether you're getting closer. • "NEW" badge: repeaters seen for the first time in the current scan are clearly marked. • New repeater alerts (off by default): get a sound and a vibration the moment a repeater you've never seen before is discovered, so you can keep your eyes on the road. Turn it on in Settings → Alerts. • Polish language support. • Performance: faster map rendering with cached coverage areas. Thanks for using MeshCore Scanner. Drive safely!

User reviews

Concerning idle behaviour

Works brilliantly for scanning. Oddly appears to keep tracking location even when not scanning, I'm somewhat uncomfortable with that. Another tragic consequence of Apple deciding you should never be allowed to kill an app running on your phone (short of deleting it).

Question

Downloaded today. Was impressed how fast it discovered nodes. I’m curious how/why it is picking up repeaters that no longer exist. Where is it getting that info from?

Response from developer

Hey, maybe it's same repeater (same public key) and only rpt name has changed?
