Stop logging. Your dining history logs itself. Meshiato automatically records the restaurants you visit. Just install it and allow location access — then go about your life. Your visits to restaurants, cafes, bars, and bakeries pile up on a calendar, all on their own. No photos to take. No check-ins. No searching for the name of the place. Who it's for - You installed a food-logging app, but typing every entry got old in three days - The logging app you used shut down, and you're looking for a new home - An automatic location-history service you relied on got cut back - You keep asking "what was the name of that place I went to last month?" - You'd rather not leave your movement history on some company's server Main features Automatic logging Detects your stays at restaurants in the background and records the name, category, and duration. The visit appears on your calendar after you leave, usually within 15–30 minutes. Calendar heatmap A calendar that colors the days you ate out — the more visits, the deeper the shade. Tap a day to see exactly where you went. Places list All your visited places in one list, sortable by visit count or last visit, with category filters. See your most-frequented spots at a glance. Place details Visit count, average stay, total time, and full visit history — tallied per place. Fix & add manually If a record is wrong, reselect from nearby candidates with one tap. Missed a place? Add it by name or from your current location. Themes & languages Four color themes (Terracotta, Emerald, Blue, Monochrome). Japanese and English supported. About accuracy — an honest note Meshiato estimates the restaurant closest to where you stayed, using location and map data. A different place may be logged when: - Restaurants are densely packed nearby - Several venues share one spot — upper floors, basements, food courts - You spent a long time somewhere that isn't a restaurant, such as a salon or clinic A visit can also be missed entirely — indoors where your location can't be pinned down, or when the place isn't listed as a dining venue in Apple Maps. Meshiato won't catch every meal, and we'd rather say so up front. If the wrong place was logged, tap the record and pick another with one tap. Places missing from the candidate list can be found by name. Add places you never want logged, like home or work, to "Places to skip" and they'll be ignored from then on. Privacy first Meshiato never sends your location or your records to a server of its own. All data is stored only on your device — no account, no cloud. The only thing that holds your dining history is your iPhone. - No account required - Nothing sent to a Meshiato server - Place lookup uses Apple's map service to find nearby restaurants; results are stored on your device only How to use 1. Open the app and set location to "Always" 2. That's it Open the app again in a few weeks. Without you lifting a finger, your dining history will have built itself. One request: please don't swipe Meshiato away in the app switcher. On iOS, an app you force-quit can't run in the background, so logging stops until you open it again. (No need to quit it for battery — Meshiato is built to run light.)
