MeshMe is a social networking app designed for high school and college students. It facilitates communication and connection through a system of pre-written prompts, allowing for both open and anonymous interactions within school communities.
Users are automatically grouped within their high school or college community via their school email's unique domain. This ensures that students can only interact and communicate with other students within their mutual school grouping, enhancing safety and community building.
MeshMe offers three types of messages: Direct Mesh (recipient sees prompt and sender's identity), Stealth Mesh (recipient sees prompt but sender is anonymous), and Secret Mesh (recipient sees neither prompt nor sender's identity). Chat is enabled only if both users send each other the same prompt.
Every 24 hours, MeshMe releases a unique yearbook-style prompt. This feature engages users to nominate others for superlatives. Once the 24-hour period concludes, the results are shared, and a new prompt is delivered for each college.
Yes, students can anonymously recommend prompts they would like to see integrated into the platform. Upon approval, these user-generated prompts are added to make the communities more vibrant and collaborative.
Currently, all school communities available on MeshMe are located exclusively within the United States. The platform aims to expand its list of supported school domains as interest grows.
MeshMe is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices, making it accessible to a wide range of Apple users.
