Message Vault: Private Archive

Message Vault turns the text conversations that matter into a private, permanent, searchable archive — encrypted on your iPhone with a key only you hold. YOUR TEXTS ARE YOUR HISTORY Years of conversations with the people you love live in your Messages app — until a lost phone, a full storage bar, or an accidental deletion takes them. Message Vault gives them a durable home that belongs to you alone. IMPORT WITH A TAP, APPROVE EVERY BATCH Message Vault never reads your messages by itself. You run the Vault Sync shortcut, and iOS shows you exactly which messages are being shared with the app every time — approval is built into the operating system. Import as often as you like: already-archived messages are recognized and never duplicated. ENCRYPTED BEFORE IT TOUCHES ANYTHING Everything you archive is encrypted on your device with a key that lives in your iPhone's Keychain. Search, browse threads, and revisit conversations inside the vault — decrypted only in memory, only for you. YOUR iCLOUD, NOT OURS Optionally keep an encrypted copy in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account. It leaves your phone only as ciphertext. There is no Message Vault server — we could not read your messages if we wanted to. A RECOVERY PHRASE ONLY YOU HOLD Set up recovery and you get a one-time phrase that can unlock your vault on a new iPhone. We never see it and cannot recover it — that is the point. DELETE MEANS DELETE One button removes your local archive, its keys, and the encrypted records in your iCloud — and tells you honestly if any cloud cleanup is still pending. GOOD TO KNOW Message Vault archives what iOS makes available to Shortcuts, which typically includes conversations through the previous day — it is an archive, not a live mirror.
