Not recommended

App doesn’t work for free, they ask you to pay to make it work, instead what you can do is take a video screenshot of all msgs, upload to ChatGPT and ask it to transcribe it, it will do it for free!

Not as advertised

I paid for the upgraded version for custom pdfs and it doesn’t work at all. There is not an option to contact support due to “email not configured”. I’d use the free version, but am out $10 for an app that doesn’t deliver at all once upgraded.

FAQ

What does Messages and Chat Export PDF do?

This app allows you to save and organize your conversations from any messaging application. You can export them as a clean PDF, high-quality images, or even a video scroll of the chat. It offers both automatic stitching of screenshots and the ability to record scrollable conversations.

How do I export my chats?

You can export your chats by selecting your screenshots and letting the app stitch them automatically into a PDF or image, or by manually adjusting them. Alternatively, you can record a scrollable conversation as a video, trim it, and save it. The app supports exporting in JPG, PNG, or multi-page PDF formats, though this requires an in-app purchase.

Is this app free to use?

The core functionality of the app is free, allowing you to stitch screenshots and record videos. However, exporting your conversations in JPG, PNG, or multi-page PDF formats requires an in-app purchase. This means you can try out the basic features before deciding to upgrade.

Is my data kept private?

Yes, the app prioritizes your privacy. All processing for stitching and conversions is done directly on your device. This means your data does not get sent to any external servers, ensuring that your conversations remain yours and are handled securely.

What are the main use cases for this app?

This app is perfect for backing up important conversations, saving cherished memories from chats, or creating organized archives of long discussions. It's also useful for sharing lengthy chat histories in a more manageable format, whether as a single document or a video.
