Known loop issue
I downloaded the app and tried to sign in. The next step told to open my email and click a link to confirm. The app offered a button to directly open my email. I don’t like doing this, giving apps access to other apps. Therefore, I left the app, went into my email and clicked the link. The app then opened in my web browser. I returned to the app but it would not let me advance without clicking the email link. After going through this same rinse and repeat process several times, receiving multiple emails and clicking the link every time, I reached out to support. Known issue. To resolve the issue I had to delete the app, reboot my phone, download the app again, and allow the app to access my email app and then when I clicked the link it worked. Sorry folks, this is bad programming.
