Dear user, thank you for your feedback. I just test Dropbox sync with version 0.26.2 and it works well. I guess it may be because you used the dropbox sync function by adding an external location. Dropbox app doesn't support Folder-level FileProvider, so its folder on your phone can't be added directly. You should setup a dropbox sync repository from "Settings-> Sync repository " and it will work well. By the way, adding and testing sync repository doesn't need any premium membership, you can use it for free. Thank you for your support in our development work.

An app that just works.

Love this app! Tried several of the popar apps but they never seemed to work for me. This app just works. I use Dropbox to synch devices. Works great. Setup was easy. Even if you don't use Emacs/org mode anywhere else this app does everything you need for scheduling and task management.

Look no further...

If you need to edit your org mode files on an iPad... This is the one. Orgro and Plain just view org mode files and let edit the raw file. Who wants to do that? With Metanote you get colors which make editing a much better experience especially on the hunt for those pesky matching parentheses! Don't waste your money on the others. This is the one that is best for editing.

Needs a subscription

I tried to open a file and it said "this is a premium feature." Uh, no, opening files is not a premium feature. It's pretty basic. If you want to sell a paid app just charge for it instead of being sneaky and pretending it's free.

Dear user, I'm sorry that we couldn't satisfy you. Premium features currently include synchronizing and editing external files, as well as customized features such as custom capture template and custom agenda view. All other features are free and should be able to meet most daily needs. Unless you are a heavy user, there is no need to purchase the premium version. Alternatively, you can join the beta version and use all premium features for free. At the same time, please support our development work, we will continue to improve and provide better services. Needs Mac app

Metanote can be even more useful with cross platform apps for Mac and Android. I hope the developer can add them soon ..

Best org mode at the moment

I think this is the most comprehensive way yet to use org mode in iOS. The has been increasingly adding good features.

Aiming for the impossible, one step at a time to get there.

Make an impossible goal that nobody has been able to achieve. Become fully dedicated to it and achieve it one step at a time. That, in short, is Metanode. I have been following this app since its early days and am keenly observing its progress. The iOS app is developing well, and the other platforms are scheduled next. Once the vision is achieved, this will make org mode barrier-free and hopefully usable for many more people who have been wanting to use it but are not as tech-savvy.

emacs and iOS

Emulating emacs is a difficult task. Especially when trying to make it feel like a “modern app”.

While still new and light on other “power user” features and a couple bugs here and there, I feel this app feels like the best combination of emacs org-mode and iOS. Other apps are too much like emacs and less iOS. Others are the opposite. This feels like a good balance. Purchased the lifetime sub as an investment.
