What's New in Meteorite Check

1.0.1

July 8, 2026

New cobalt question in the XRF section, for finders who have element results. Cobalt tracks with nickel in meteoritic metal, so its absence on a metal sample counts as a meaningful negative. Clearer reference photos on the quartz and fusion crust questions, including a fresh crust showing contraction cracks. Translation updates across Arabic, French, and Spanish. Display and layout refinements throughout. Meteorite Check screens a specimen and points strong candidates toward a lab. It does not confirm or classify.

Well designed UX, easy to use and just complex enough to provide reliable answers without intimidating amateur users.

This beats any rock ID app

Refreshingly different and accurate method to determine authenticity. Comprehensive analysis, excellent photo support and follow up guidance.
