About
Your iPhone has a real magnetic field sensor — this app turns it into an honest instrument. No ghost detector, no ads covering the reading, no subscription: MeterWorks Teslameter measures, records, and documents magnetic fields.
MEASURE
• Live field strength |B| with a big readout and a smooth real-time graph
• All three axes plus magnitude, 100 Hz sampling, µT or mG
• Zero baseline: blank out the ambient field and hunt magnets and metal in delta mode
• Compass calibration state shown honestly
RECORD & ANALYZE
• Recordings with key metrics: RMS, peak, peak-to-peak, crest factor
• Zoom, pan, and cursor in the recording graph — stats for the visible range
• Pro: FFT spectrum with peak list and AC field indicator (50 Hz mains hum, beta)
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
• Free: PNG export of all four channels
• Pro: clean CSV export of the full raw series — spreadsheet-ready
• Pro: multi-page PDF report with statistics matrix, time series, spectra, and measurement documentation
FREE VS. PRO — NO SURPRISES
Free is a real instrument: unlimited live measurement, three recordings of 10 seconds each, full metrics, PNG export. Pro is a single one-time purchase: unlimited recordings, FFT analysis, CSV and PDF export — all future Pro features included. No subscription, ever.
WHAT THIS APP CANNOT DO — HONESTLY
The magnetometer measures static and low-frequency magnetic fields up to 50 Hz (the Nyquist limit of 100 Hz sampling). Radio frequency — cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth — is beyond ANY smartphone magnetometer; apps promising "radiation readings" are bluffing. This is not a wire detector either: always use a proper scanner before drilling. The in-app page "Limits of this measurement" explains exactly what works.
TYPICAL USES
Locate magnets and magnetic metal · compare speaker and magnet field strength · check low-frequency EMF indicatively · show Earth's field (physics class)
NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ADS. NO TRACKERS.
All measurement data stays on your device. EMF put honestly in context: facts, not fear. MeterWorks is a family of honest measurement apps — Teslameter is one of them.
