User reviews

It really a balance checker. Rather it tracks usage that you record yourself

Not great or work the $

This is truly nothing more than a counter

Paid for an app that does nothing! I could put my balance in Notes by myself.
Will try to get apple to refund it, though for .99 it is hardly worth the effort! Read ALL reviews before buying! They show only the good review at the top.

Do not get without reading reviews

I just wasted $1.08. This app does math for you that you could keep track on on your notes. Does not allow you to ACTUALLY CHECK A BALANCE on a card. Literally just subtracts from whatever amount you set it at to start. So So in st Louis on way to nyc does nothing for me to save a stop to see if I have enough fare to get on the bus quickly.

Response from developer

We are sorry that the app didn't live up to your expectations. Unfortunately, the MTA does not provide an interface to check MetroCard balances at all.

Horrible

I did not expect it to cost but I was charged and could not stop it

Scam App

This is a scam app. I don’t know why Apple let it stay on the App Store. It has no interface to MTA. It does not know your balance. It is a false advertisement.

Response from developer

We are sorry that the app didn't live up to your expectations. Unfortunately, the MTA does not provide an interface to check MetroCard balances at all, and the app description does mention that tracking is manual (not a scam!). There are cases where it's faster to keep a running tally of your swipes manually. The balance readers in stations also do not provide accessible options, and manual tracking is a more accessible alternative for people who cannot read the terminal.
