What's New in MetroBus CBR
1.1.2
September 30, 2026
• Trip planner: one-change journeys whenever they get you there sooner, shown station by station. Start from any station and swap the two in one tap. • Reminders arrive even with the app closed; allow on-time reminders when the app offers it. • Stations closed for works, like Alto de São João, are marked and never offered to board. • Widgets update as soon as you change station. • Each line has its own mark in the timetable. • Countdowns stay right when the clocks change on 25 October. • The widget, the Live Activity and the Dynamic Island count down on their own and move on when a bus leaves. • Siri understands station names typed or said without accents or punctuation, and answers in English too. Updating from 1.0? The network changed on 10 September 2026: three colour-coded lines instead of two, now reaching Coimbra B and Praça da República. This version follows it. • Three lines: Blue between Coimbra B and Serpins, Red between Praça da República and Serpins, and Green across the Baixa linking República to Coimbra B. • Nine new stations: Coimbra B, Casa do Sal, Açude, Arnado, Aeminium, Loja do Cidadão, Câmara, Mercado and República. • The departures board no longer has two fixed destinations: one side names both city destinations, the other the Serpins direction, and every departure still says where it ends. • A filter per line in the station timetable. • Map and line diagram redrawn for three lines, each in its own colour. • Fares by municipality extended to the new stations. • The widget, the Live Activity and the "Next Metrobus" shortcut name the line by its colour, and announce where the bus actually ends rather than where the line does. Everything else is unchanged: it works offline after the first download, with no account, no adverts and no trackers. There is still no live vehicle feed for the Metrobus, so countdowns and bus positions remain estimates from the operator's published timetable.
