What's New in Metronome

1.2.1

August 18, 2026

NEW: PRACTICE, IN ONE PLACE Every practice tool now lives under one Practice tab. Tempo Ramp was rebuilt around it: set a start, a target and a step, advance by bars or by seconds, and decide what happens at the end — hold the target, loop back, or stop. It keeps stepping while you are in another app. TEMPO, WITHOUT THE TAPPING Set the tempo the way that suits the moment: drag across the number, type it in, or press and hold to run through the range. SUBDIVISION TRAINER (Pro) Build a practice progression — quarters to sixteenths and back — and the trainer steps you through each level automatically. Reorder levels, loop the sequence, choose what happens when it finishes, or start from the built-in presets, now ordered by density. WIDGETS & SIRI, LEVELED UP • Start and stop the click right from a Lock Screen widget. • The Home Screen widget is now configurable: show the live tempo or pin a fixed BPM. • Coarse and fine tempo steppers, straight on the widget. • Siri answers with visual results: "Set tempo to 96" shows the change at a glance. EVERY SOUND REMASTERED All click sounds re-mastered to one consistent loudness — switch sounds mid-practice without reaching for the volume, with clean, clip-free peaks at any level. MORE ACCENT PRESETS • 16 new rhythms added to the Accent Presets library. A FRESH LOOK • Ivory is the new default theme — a warm, bright light mode. • Pro: choose which themes System uses for Light and Dark — it switches with iOS automatically. REFINED EDITORS Rebuilt the Setlist, Goal, and Sound Pack editors with a cleaner, more tactile layout that matches the rest of the app. ACCESSIBILITY, EVERYWHERE VoiceOver across the app, widgets, and Watch; full keyboard and Voice Control support; larger touch targets; and beat haptics for silent practice. RELIABILITY • Playback resumes cleanly after calls and interruptions. • The click starts on the first tap — after a cold launch, and after a listening session. • Your practice log now syncs with iCloud. • Safer imports for custom sounds and setlists. A NAME IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app now goes by your language's word for metronome — on the Home screen, in Siri, and in every notification. 46 LANGUAGES — ON EVERY DEVICE The app speaks 46 languages. And the translation reaches everywhere it counts: the Apple Watch app, your Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and complications are now fully localized — not just iPhone. One-time purchase. No subscriptions, no ads, no tracking.
