If you play saxophone you wont be able hear this tick!
Unfortunately hardware limitations mean that this is just not loud enough for instruments like saxophone. I simply cannot hear it at all on an iPad Pro on full volume.

Excellent app, excellent customer service
This app is my favorite metronome app. I don’t use it for music, but for mindfulness, regulating my emotions and bringing my focus back to the present. I’m an autistic person with ADHD and this app has been excellent for me for this purpose.
Disclaimer: what follows is a description of an issue that I had that was my own lack of understanding of the app’s functions, not any issue with the app itself.
I was having an issue with it where I thought it wouldn’t allow you to completely remove the different beat sound (don’t know what that’s called) at the end of whatever timeframe you set. The number of beats is set at 12, so I got this to do 11 ticks and on the 12th beat it would do this tink sound that pulled me out of my focus and mindfulness. I’m sure this is necessary for musicians but it was jarring to me for my purposes.
I emailed the developer and they got back to me extremely quickly and told me how to remove that sound so it would only play the sound I wanted. I also learned that this app does a lot more than I thought it did. Which, again, I’m sure makes it a great app for musicians. The person was kind and patient and explained how to fix my issue in a way that was easily understandable, which was my issue and had nothing to do with the quality or function of the app itself. I was very pleased with the timely response to my complaint and the graciousness with how the person handled it.
I was very impressed with my experience with the app as well as my experience communicating with the developer.

Close to what I was looking for
I wanted a pendulum swinging back and forth, and this does a good job. Clean and crisp design although I’d like the background to offer shades of grey, not just black and white. The pure white can be glaring and hard on the eyes. I also wish softer edged sounds were included, such as a snare drum for example. My guitar practice group, and I, find hard edged sounds, even the drums, are too brittle and get on our nerves very quickly. Having said that, this is still the best I’ve found.

Could use more features
Very nice metronome! I loved the range of speed that goes to 999bpm! Though could you please add a tuner to make it more worth it? And maybe more features like being able to edit the tempo when in Lock Screen? Thank you so much!

Great metronome app
But the UI should be updated. The menu page doesn’t have a dark mode like the main page which is killing me, but this is the best metronome app I’ve tried. Plz fix this UI !
Best Simple Metromome
I’ve tried many metronome apps over the years and this is the one I use daily. It looks much better than most mechanical metronome sims and the visual of the arm swinging is more useful than a flashing light to see the centre of the beat. The options are simple and easy to use. I’m a creature of habit so being able to have the same metronome app my phone and computer is a real plus.

No flashing lights or crazy programable subdivisions. Just like an old school mechanical metronome except it's portable and perfectly accurate. Exactly what I was looking for.
