Not good
Complete Garbage for Youth Baseball Streams – A Paid Downgrade
I wanted to love this app. I purchased a Mevo Start camera, subscribed to Mevo Pro, spent countless hours building a youth baseball streaming setup, and genuinely believed Mevo Studio/Multicam would be the best solution available. Unfortunately, after months of testing, troubleshooting, and multiple failed live broadcasts, I finally canceled my Mevo Pro subscription.
The biggest problem is reliability.
The app advertises an impressive list of features: multiple cameras, overlays, media playback, video injections, scene switching, RTMP streaming, and more. The problem is that when it comes time to actually use those features during a live event, especially youth sports, the app becomes unpredictable.
I have experienced:
* “Slow Internet” warnings despite strong cellular service
* “No reception” warnings while maintaining excellent signal
* Video preview freezing
* Application sluggishness
* False storage warnings despite having significant free storage available
* Random disconnects and reconnects
* Complete application crashes during live streams
These are not one-time issues. I have reproduced similar failures on both an iPad Mini A17 Pro and an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
One of my most recent tests involved streaming for nearly an hour using the iPhone camera, overlays, and media playback without issue. The problems only started after adding the Mevo camera feed and interacting with it. The app reported “Recording stopped due to limited system resources,” displayed a warning about overheating, and then completely crashed. Restarting the app temporarily fixed the issue, only for it to happen again.
What makes this especially frustrating is that the older Mevo Single Camera app remains substantially more reliable. Same camera. Same user. Same cellular connection. Same field. Yet the simpler app consistently outperforms the flagship production app.
I stream youth baseball games. When this app crashes, parents, grandparents, and family members miss live moments that cannot be recreated. Home runs, game-winning plays, and tournament memories are gone forever when the stream fails.
Customer support has also been disappointing. Response times are slow, and getting meaningful technical answers has been difficult despite providing detailed testing information, screenshots, hardware specifications, and reproducible steps.
I am not a casual user leaving a review after one bad day. I invested significant money into the Mevo ecosystem because I wanted a professional solution for youth sports broadcasting. Instead, I spent months troubleshooting an app that feels far less reliable than the simpler software it is supposed to replace.
If your goal is a basic single-camera stream, the Mevo ecosystem can work well. If your goal is to rely on Mevo Studio/Multicam for important live events where reliability matters, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Complete Garbage for Youth Baseball Streams – A Paid Downgrade
I was explicitly told by Mevo customer support to switch from the old single-camera app (which worked vastly better) to this Multicam app because I was having a minor issue with a graphic overlay. Now I see that was just a ploy to push users toward their subscription model.
The Multicam app is completely unstable. Out at the diamond, I get constant drops and endless freezing. While the interface looks cool and flashy at first glance, it is entirely impractical for real-world field use. As soon as the sun hits your iPad or iPhone, the app bogs down and becomes completely useless.
If you are a YouTuber streaming indoors with pristine home Wi-Fi, this might be fine for you. But if you are out on a hot baseball field trying to broadcast a game to GameChanger, do not waste your money on the Pro edition. Mevo clearly knows this app is broken because they constantly roll out updates to fix crashes, yet it still fails when it matters most. Avoid this headache and stick to simpler setups.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. We hear you on wanting more organization between cameras and graphics and also on the graphic positioning. Positioning is coming back in the near future and we are working on an improved organization workflow.
