Will not open after purchasing textures from store
Waste of money since it will not open to photos , camera or anything but store.
Phenomenal
I have used this app since it was released. I also use it on my desktop on large images. It is my favorite photo editing app for adding mood, light and color.
Freezes
I’ve always loved this app for making interesting edits, but over the last year or so, when I access my library it freezes, which forces me to kill the app. I’ve even deleted the app a couple of times and redownload it, but the issue persists. RIP Mextures.

Does not work - awful experience
So disappointing that I’ve contacted the creators of this app. With full system settings correct full access to photos and still 2 years or more of slow to zero photos up.oad to be edited. Ridiculous. Why because I’m not alone and still this app developer does not fix . I’ll change this review if you fix your problem that we now have to deal with

used to love mextures and use it consistently. now it won't open my camera roll at all and when i tried to delete it to see if that would help, i lost everything and it won't let me refresh my purchases. sad to see such a great app go!
My goto app!
Been using this app since its release and still use it today even with my A.I. artwork. Love all the filters and formulas and textures to this very day. Would love it if a new update or addition could be made in the store for new packages. I’d so buy!💕🥰🥰🥰
Too bad
Nice app, I used it about ten years ago and recently started experimenting with it again. Too bad the developer checked out, I see literally nothing has changed.

Won’t update photo library.
The app won’t recognize any photos I’ve imported from my PC. Every other photo app I have has no issues but this just doesn’t see them even though they’re JPEG’s. There doesn’t appear to be a perfect app out there. One of my favorite apps Distressed FX is a great app, but it downsizes your image to one megabyte. Too bad no apps are developed as time goes by to be almost perfect. I guess there not enough profit to do so. Guess I’ll have to put all my overlays and birds in Adobe cloud and access thru PS for mobile. I gave this three stars for its use with photos it can recognize.

Restore Issues
I can not restore the bundles purchased earlier. The app is showing charges (one time charge) which I have already paid previously.

What happened?
This was such a good app and my favourite to create pictures with a lot of mood.
Unfortunately I’ve had to delete it along with all of my saved “mixtures” as it just wouldn’t save.

Seriously disappointed in the app. It used to be one of the best!!! Now it doesn’t even open after reinstalling several times.
Abandoned-Ware
Sadly, this could-have-been-great app has had no update for over a year, and no real meaningful additions to the app, such as editing in landscape mode, or texture offerings before that. Too bad …
Fantastic features but
An annoyance is that there is apparently no back button. So once you select a texture or formula you have to cancel and start over, finding your image again AND canceling the crop again (another annoyance… can that be turned off as an option please as well!?).
And it would be absolutely fantastic if I could make my own textures! OMG that would be the freakin bomb.
Overall though, so fantastic for the price. I’m using this thing all the time.
I might as well suggest a blur effect as well (gaussian, zoom, motion, etc.) as I tend to want a slight blur to any of the images I add filters to.
Give me and take my money!!! (If ya know, it’s just an extra $2-3).

No longer works
As of Sept. 2024, Mextures doesn’t work for me. The app loads but I can’t access photos or edit anything. RIP Mextures 🪦
I LOVED this app! Please update!
I absolutely loved this app, especially because it offered a huge selection of unique & different filters/looks that you couldn’t find anywhere else & also a wide range of editing abilities! This was my go to app for photo editing when using my phone for photography- which is more often that not. I also love the fact that you can create your own filters.
For some time now though the app won’t load further than the front page, it won’t let me open photos of go any further to edit anything. Please please do an update to fix this!
Other than that no complaints!
