Gut, ausbaufähig
An heißen oder kalten Tagen das Auto auf die gewünschte Temperatur vor zu Klematisieren empfinde ich schon als Luxuriös, ich persönlich würde es begrüßen wenn es ein Update gäbe bei dem man einstellen kann das die eingestellten Settings im Auto so bleiben und ich nicht bei jedem Fahrzeugstart neu Eco einstellen muss, denn man wird sich schon was dabei gedacht haben wenn man es jedes Mal wieder einstellt.
WICHTIG: An alle die es nicht wussten, wenn man oben rechts auf das Häuschen mit dem Auto drückt und dann auf das Autobild unter Fahrzeugmanagement, dann kann man sich den Kilometerstand anzeigen lassen ohne extra zum Auto zu gehen (dieser braucht manchmal ein bisschen zum aktualisieren) die Funktion besteht ist allerdings eher versteckt, ich denke die App ist schon fortgeschritten zum Vergleich wie sie am Anfang war, sie stürzt auch nicht mehr ganz so häufig ab, (beziehungsweise der Token ist verfallen und man muss sich neu anmelden) aber die App ist noch verbesserungsfähig.
Aber Rom wurde auch nicht an einem Tag erbaut daher möchte ich nicht Zuviel meckern, und besser hinkriegen könnte ich es selbst nicht.

Buggy
Frustrating experience coming from Tesla where everything just worked. Sometimes I can connect to the car via the app, other times I can’t. It’s a complete lottery. Not what you want from a car app. With the Tesla I used to leave the car key at home and rely on my phone. I would love to do that with the MG but I cannot rely on this app so I have to take a physical car key with me. Feels like a step back in convenience and technology. I’m sure it could be easily fixed with a software update so I have no idea why MG don’t do this. Until then it’s 2 stars.

Bizarre de ne pas pouvoir envoyer d’infos sur d’éventuels problèmes sans donner l’autorisation à MG d’aller « fouiller » dans nos photo qui doivent rester personnelles !
Inzwischen ganz stabil
Sicherer Verbindubgsaufbau meistens möglich, außer das Auto schlief zu lange. Was ich aber vermisse ist eine Anzeige der aktuellen Kilometer. Abrufbar sind sie ja, wie die Leasing App zeigt. Warum nicht auch hier? Und warum kann ich nur zwei Mitbenutzer anlegen in der App?
Correct mais pas transcendant
L’application est dans l’ensemble correct et fonctionne relativement bien, cependant elle manque à mon sens de quelques fonctionnalités (Odomètre du véhicule/ statistiques lors des trajets précédents / consommation / la possibilité de voir si les fenêtres sont ouverte ou fermé (MG4) / Des réglages plus avancée pour les fonctions de chauffage/climatisation / indicateur de maintenance… En bref l’application mériterait d’être un peu plus complète au niveau de la remontée d’information des différents calculateurs…
L’esthétique de celle ci pourrait à mon sens également être modernisé.
Et dernier point (je rêve beaucoup) la possibilité « Enfin » de pouvoir mettre à jour notre système d’infodivertissement à distance pourquoi pas via l’application (en Bluetooth??)

Nothing useful works
App connected to the car and recognises where the car is parked via the GPS tracker, but the battery charge percentage is stuck at 76% on the app even though I have driven it to under 20% and recharged it to over 80% in the few weeks I’ve owned the car. Not able to switch anything on or off remotely. Not able to turn on or off climate control. Not able to set charge percentage. Not able to tell the car to start or stop charging. Not able to lock or unlock car via app. Basically just a car tracker at this point if I ever forget where I’ve parked the car.

Expensive Car, Cheap Broken App & Non-Existent Support
Absolutely terrible app for such an expensive car. The whole experience feels unfinished and unreliable. Half of the time the app cannot connect to the vehicle, remote commands fail randomly, and basic functions like checking vehicle status or controlling the car remotely often stop working completely after a few minutes.
The interface looks modern, but underneath it is full of bugs, delays, server errors and constant connection problems. Sometimes the car appears offline for hours for no reason. Adding users, remote lock/unlock, climate control and status updates are painfully inconsistent.
What makes it even worse is the complete lack of support. There is practically no response from customer service, and when owners report problems, they are ignored or left waiting without any real solution. For an app connected to such an expensive vehicle, this level of support is unacceptable.
In 2026 there is simply no excuse for software this unreliable. Other manufacturers offer stable and responsive apps, while MG iSMART feels like an unfinished beta test. Owner forums and app reviews are full of people reporting the exact same issues: failed remote commands, cars randomly going offline, server connection problems and app crashes.

Great setup but some minor issues
Fantastic display and easy to use application, give you pretty much the basics of what you need, as with some previous reviews there is a bit more that could be done to make it better, only issue I’m finding now is I keep getting kicked out of the app for ‘being logged in on another device’ which seems to be a common issue. Great but a few improvements would be even better
The MG IM5 is a fantastic EV, but the iSMART app currently only shows the WLTP range. This is frustrating as the car itself is set to DFRE (Dynamic Range) for accuracy. Please add an option to the app settings to show the DFRE range so the phone matches the dashboard! It would make the app 5 stars for me. Would also be good to be able to check the AVR camera feeds remotely through the app like similar vehicles.
Also, a note on app speed. Coming from a Stellantis car previously, it’s great to see how responsive it is and how quickly it sends commands and sees vehicle status.

Room for improvement
App definitely needs a upgrade, I won’t mention what other car I had but from their app I could change quite a few things from the app alone, 1 being the sat nav map colours the direction arrows colours and shapes etc. it would also. Be handy to turn on and off certain functions in the infotainment system and set certain radio stations to cater for my needs before leaving on my journey. Like I said it’s a good set up now but definitely needs a upgrade

Super utile dans la vie de tout les jours
Je trouve l’application vraiment super bien. Le faites de pouvoir chauffer ça voiture à distance ou de pouvoir la déverrouiller / verrouiller avec juste sont téléphone je trouve ça ouf. Seul point que j’aimerais que Mg crée ce serais le faites de pouvoir se crée un profil avec les aide que le vont désactivé, le niveaux de régénération de la batterie tout ça tout ça. Mais sinon l application et très simple de prise en main.

Problème de connexion du véhicule MG Marvel R
L’application fonctionne très bien, excepté quelques défauts de traduction. Serait-il possible d’avoir la mise à jour pour la caraïbe et l’Amérique du Sud notamment la Guyane Française. Pour la navigation TELENAV. Souhaitant avoir une bonne écoute, je vous remercie par avance. Un client très satisfait de sa Marvel R et d’une MG5 En Guyane Française 🇬🇫 🙌 Autre chose : depuis la mise à jour de la nouvelle version ISmart. Je n’arrive pas à lier la Marvel. Vous avez une solution ?? Mg5 pas de soucis 👍🏽

Sowohl das Auto als auch die App funktionieren zuverlässig.
Zur Steuerung oder zur Übersicht des Fahrzeugstatus läuft es gut. Verbindung funktioniert meist einwandfrei. Die App könnte moderner und mit noch mehr Fahrzeugdetails ausgestattet sein. Wie z.B. der Verbrauch und einer Übersicht der letzten Ladungen.

Peu s’améliorer
Application sympathique mais en retard par rapport à d’autres… pas de widgets (ce qui serait un vrai +), pas de possibilité d’ouvrir le toit ouvrant ou les fenêtres à distances, pas de possibilité de lancer le chauffage des sièges à distance non plus, en tout cas pas sur ZS EV. La rapidité est à revoir aussi… et également un thème variable à l’appareil (clair / sombre). Bref, à améliorer mais bien pratique quand même…

Fonctionnelle et perfectible
L’application fonctionne bien. J’ai quelques bugs de mise à jour par moment (le pourcentage de charge ou la géolocalisation du véhicule ne se met pas à jour).
Ce serait très apprécié de pouvoir avoir des widgets sur l’ouverture du véhicule, état de charge et géolocalisation du véhicule.

Ich finde die App gut, alles funktioniert und lässt sich gut bedienen.
Pretty good but patchy connection to car
Having had a bmw and enjoyed the bmw car app previously, I was worried after reading the reviews for iSMART. I’ve actually found it pretty useful and to work well. The only snag is the commonly reported connection issue which causes commands to show ‘failed’ a lot. I believe this is due to a weak signal to the car which I also often had with the bmw at my home address.

Missing basic features
The app is missing a lot of basic features I would expect from a brand new 2025 car. For example, after a long drive I accidentally left one of my windows down. The app gave me no notification about this, and unfortunately someone got into my car and stole some belongings. At this level, I’d expect a simple alert for unlocked doors or open windows as a standard safety feature.
On top of that, the app itself is glitchy… half the time it doesn’t connect to the car at all. For a premium vehicle, the app feels underdeveloped and unreliable.

Verbesserungsvorschläge
Die App ist soweit gut übersichtlich, aber mit vielen kleinen und großen Krankheiten! Die Verbindung zum Auto funktioniert nicht immer, meistens wird auch die KM Reichweite nicht angezeigt. Keine geplante zeitliche Klimatisierung möglich. Die Heizung geht nur für 10 Minuten an und schaltet sich aus, obwohl die gewünschte Innentemperatur noch nicht erreicht ist! Eine Funktion für öffnen der Heckklappe wäre wäre auch wünschenswert.
