Error messages for all airports except 2-3 large commercial hubs. MDOT: Get it together.
I wish all state DOT had this app
This app is for Michigan pilots, and it is fantastic. I use it before every landing to check the local details. In addition to important runway and frequency information, it’s great for finding rooms, transportation, and local restaurants as well.
FYI Update maps upon first launch
If you don’t update immediately all you’ll get are errors that the airport is pending, etc. Once you update you get the info you’re looking for. Find update maps in the menu on the upper left.

Many of the small GA airports are not in the database. One star is an overstatement.

Doesn't work anymore
The app worked great when I first downloaded it a year ago. Now nearly every airport is blocked. It says you need to update but there are no updates available.
Useless so far
The only airport in region 6 it will open is FNT. The rest indicate airport licensings are in limbo, or the app needs to be updated, or a map download from the MDOT website is needed. There is no update available for the i version. I could not find a link to download a map update at the MDOT website. If it's renewal of licensing for airports, why block the info from pilots who are currently using these airports? A warning message would be sufficient for state liability purposes. It's a nice idea but this app needs some serious help!
