What's New in MicBuddy

1.4.9

October 19, 2026

Networking and stability - Added a global 30-second timeout to the mobile API request layer; requests on a dead network previously hung for 65+ seconds with no feedback (GH#190). - Task loading paths (Start Annotating / Continue Testing) now surface visible errors on transport failures and keep users on the current screen instead of failing silently (GH#191, GH#192). - Fixed the offline "My Projects" screen, which previously showed a silent empty list. It now displays a proper network error state with retry guidance, synchronized across 7 languages (GH#332). - Added memory protection for waveform analysis of large WAV files, preventing out-of-memory crashes during playback (GH#251). Multilingual (i18n) quality - Repaired 34 corrupted Thai strings and added a deterministic codepoint CI gate; a second round fixed 7 more corrupted project words and tightened the gate to zero tolerance (GH#329; PR #344, #370). - Project cards and detail pages now display a proper language label (for example, Thai) instead of a raw code; price display was normalized including zero values; a language field was added to the projects table (GH#340; PR #371). - Backfilled missing translation keys across 6 languages, corrected German review-rejected wording, and repaired Thai tone marks and the privacy-notice text (GH#255, GH#273, GH#285, GH#289). - Consolidated i18n: extracted hardcoded strings and audited legacy Thai codepoints with byte-level regression locks (GH#277; PR #284, #288). - Fixed the Profile language selector, which was missing the English option and could lock language switching (GH#272). - Added localized native header titles to the review-rejected page in 7 languages (GH#248) and localized /annotate fallback copy (PR #354). Security and polish - Project landing page links were upgraded to HTTPS (PR #354). Notes - Android-only changes in the same window (recording source fallback, Android 12+ Bluetooth runtime permission) are excluded from this iOS log. - Most tags between v1.1.6 and v1.4.6 were web/API deploy anchors with no iOS-visible changes; the five nodes carrying real iOS content are v1.1.7, v1.3.1, v1.3.5, v1.4.8, and v1.4.9. - Versioning note: v1.1.5 through v1.4.9 are internal anchor tags created automatically on green deploys; the only external release in the window was v1.3.9 (web-side items only). - If the last App Store build predates v1.1.5, also add: automatic audio quality check after recording submissions, speaker as the default playback route on iOS, button loading states to prevent double-taps, and fixes for the application-page picker not opening and for offline submissions giving no feedback.
