About
MiClave makes it easier to prepare and organize the password you use with Banco Nacional de Costa Rica.
GENERATE A VALID PASSWORD
MiClave creates random passwords that follow the configured rules: 8 to 16 characters, at least four letters and four numbers, no vowels or Ñ, and no consecutive duplicate characters.
VALIDATE BEFORE USE
The Security Center checks a password character by character and shows which rules it passes. The check stays private: the examined password is not added to history.
REMEMBER THE LATEST SIX
Keep the current password and five previous passwords so they are not reused. You can correct or remove an entry if it was saved by mistake.
TRACK THE NEXT CHANGE
See how many days remain before the next password change and enable optional reminders.
AUDIT YOUR VAULT
A single audit summarizes the current password, reuse protection, reminders, and sync status. The rotation timeline shows the last change, reminder date, and 90-day due date.
DEVICE PROTECTION
Unlock the vault with Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. Data is stored in the iOS and iPadOS Keychain. Optional iCloud Keychain sync restores the history on your other Apple devices. The interface adapts natively to iPhone and iPad.
PRIVACY
MiClave does not request your bank username, account number, or financial information. It contains no advertising or analytics, and HenrysDev never receives your passwords.
MiClave is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Banco Nacional de Costa Rica. The institution’s name is used only to identify the compatible rules profile. Password changes take place in the bank’s official application or website.
