Only Few words, not enough for study
As a vet student, I was hoping this app can cover most of the common bacteria, it doesn't really cover like a third of them we discussed in class... Not recommended.
Does not work
The audio does not work as noted by other reviewers. I alerted the app developers and will update my review if this is repaired.

Yeah works fine for me! iPhone 4 I suggested some new words. Hope you guys get them in soon. Good app.
Great App
I think people just like to complain! Downloaded app and works perfect right out of the gate! This is a great app for me being a first year medical student.
WARNING
This app is horrible!!! It says it speaks the terms for you, but it doesn't. Don't waste your money like I did.
No audio
I purchased and can not hear a thing when tapping on the play icon! Is this the app not working? Yes my volume is up... Is there a setting or update?

It does it's job

Like it, but......
.... some of the terms are too long for the formatting. Not useful to use "...." instead of the whole word or term. If this gets fixed, it will get 5 stars.
WHY is this under a rated X section?
On this page it says something to the effect that this app has to be used by people over 17 yrs of age due to objectionable material? Duh? This is a microbiology app...not playboy! Someone needs to fix this!

Great app., but problem with down loading. had problem with iphone, so sync phone and lost app off phone.
Great product
What gets another med student off? Correcting pronounciation of medical terms. There's lots of ways to screw up pronouciation, but with this product, you won't embarass yourself in front of your peers, your PBL facillitators, or your attendings.
Almost perfect!
One thing that has to be fixed is inability to read extra long names (because they are incomplete and simply end with an ellipsis). For example, have a look at "Actinobacillus".
Well, as I have already mentioned in Drug Pronunciations.app, please, consider audio replay, alphabet column on the side and right-on-touching-names audio playback. Agreed with the aforementioned suggestion: make them icons prettier (for both apps)!

Superlative!
I am a physician and find this application informative, useful and a great learning tool. It's also fun to use!
Great App!
Finally, an App I can use that is work related! The pronounications are very clear and easy to understand. Would love to be able to press the play button as often as I want without having to go back and chose the word again. I've already sent in some names of organisms, would like to that screen be cleared up, because I had a hard time seeing the submission box.
I would highly recommend this app to anyone in Microbiology.

Works as expected
The pronunciations are easy to understand and there seems to be a very large selection of words. Two suggestions I have for change are:
1. Change the icon. It's too complicated and busy. Very un-Apple-like.
2. Change the formatting for the word submission page. It is very difficult the read the word you want to submit for inclusion in a future update.
I also noticed that you can't replay a pronunciation. You have to go back to the list and then re-click on the word to hear the pronunciation again.

Fantastic app! If you're just curious about the bugs that make us sick, want to impress ur friends with some whacked out vocab, or in the health care field, (be it support staff, lab tech, drug rep, or direct pt. care) this is a must have!
Simple and practical
Great app if your taking a microbio class (and especially if you skip class like I do...) I don't know how to pronounce half of the microbes I
learned, and for the ones I do know, I dont know that I say it right... Good to have this to check for myself so I'm not embarass
If you have the Drug Pronunciations app, its the same but with microbes instead of drugs.
The app isn't perfect but it does exactly what it says it will do - pronounce microbes. No uncessasary extras. Add viruses!
