Wow! Changes!
I’ve been a paid member for over a year now, and hadn’t really used it in a while. But I was invited to the TestFlight beta, so I got back in and it is alive and changing. With the new ‘Pages’ , ‘Photos’ tabs, a full website comes alive. It’s incredible. No longer just for firing off a word and forgetting about. A solid place to cultivate a following.

It may be disguised as a simple web hosting service combined with a social media feed, but Micro.blog has an incredible collection of useful features and mini-apps to make blogging and social media both seamless and fun. Email newsletters, notetaking, podcasting, syndicating across the fediverse and beyond, photo-bloggingand video blogging, bookshelves, bookmarking and archiving, (entirely optional) AI image captions and post summaries. It’s amazing that a tiny team can offer so much.

Wonderful update!
The latest 3.0 update has added a ton of improvements! This is exactly what the app needed.
What Twitter and GoodReads should be
Really like the service.
Not clear or upfront information
This app is a 10 day trial based on their hosting ($5/mo). After 10 days of creating a blog you will be cut off. I sent an email to customer service and they responded by giving me a additional week. Perhaps if you can find other free hosting it would be a great app.
Solid client
I like the vision behind this product, and it works well enough for my needs as an iOS client. The micro.blog service is a bit idiosyncratic, but I like that you own your own content.

If you're running iOS 13, you can now use Sign in with Apple to sign up directly in Micro.blog on iOS. We've also fixed a couple issues recently with Sign in with Apple, so it should work more smoothly. And there's a full interface on the web for managing your account. Thanks!

Micro.blog allows you to connect with other people while still owning your own stuff. It’s great!
Great Service
I joined Micro.blog recently and have really been enjoying the service as an alternative to sites like Twitter. It really encourages thoughtful writing and interaction between users.
As far as the app goes, I love the clean design and use of Avenir. It would be great to have tabs at the bottom of the screen rather than the menu system plus gesture support for each post to reach conversations, replies, etc. I often find myself bringing up the options with inadvertent taps on different posts.
I realise that this is a lot of work but down the line it would also be good to be able to expand images in the timeline, choose custom fonts and toggle a dark mode.
I can’t wait to see future developments!

Micro.blog is a really great way to post thoughts and blog posts in a more unified and personalised way than Twitter.
I really like the open web mentality & just hope the service doesn’t suffer from feature bloat as it grows or be bought out by a large company (we all know who) and ruined.

Great service off to a great start but in its infancy
Moved my blog over and I’m really impressed with the overall service.
There are some basic improvements I’d like to the app.
* ability to use camera to take pictures in the app
* notifications when people respond
But overall I’m very impressed and am weaning myself off Twitter 👍

Great Service and nice app
Micro.blog is a great service and this app works really well to allow publishing to the micro.blog platform. Totally Recommend if you like to share short form writing and blogging and not have you content manipulated by advertising data mining corps. The cross posting support is great to both twitter and Facebook.

Great App & Service
I backed Micro.blog on Kickstarter and have been using it since. It's very easy to set up a hosted site or to post to Micro.blog from your Wordpress (or other feed). Great to see the Indieweb movement gaining traction!
Fantastic Service/App
After funding Micro.blog on Kickstarter, I've been using the service since right after it launched. It's got me back in the habit of microblogging, and even gave me the foresight to change from podcasting to microcasting.
