It works

I use the app to basically "pass through" what the mic picks up to output on the aux cord-- pretty useful when you don't have a real microphone handy.

FAQ

What does the Microphone MegaMic Megaphone app do?

This app allows you to use your smartphone as a microphone and a voice amplifier. It can also function as a decibel meter to measure sound levels. You can connect your phone to external speakers or PCs via an AUX cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth to amplify your voice.

How do I connect my phone to speakers to use it as a megaphone?

To use the app as a megaphone, you need to connect one end of an AUX cable to your phone's headphone port and the other end to a speaker, PC, or any device that accepts AUX input. For wireless use, ensure your device supports Bluetooth (iOS 10 onwards) and connect to a compatible speaker.

Is the app free to use?

Yes, the app is completely free to use and does not display any advertisements. This allows for an uninterrupted experience when using its features.

What are the common use cases for this app?

This app is handy for various situations, such as parties, functions, or any event where you need a portable megaphone to announce things loudly. It can also be useful for presentations or simply for amplifying your voice through speakers.

How can I fix background noise issues?

If you experience background noise, the primary solution is to reduce the volume of the connected speaker significantly. Avoid increasing your iPhone's volume, as this can worsen the problem. In rare cases of high noise, considerably lowering the speaker volume should resolve it.
