Not so safe

Kids can go around and get on you tube through other websites like canva… years later this is what my kids are telling me

Easy for kids to hack

This app needs Face ID authentication. Otherwise your kids will simply unlock using mom’s passcode and undo any limits you set for them.

Big tech does not care about your children. They only care about quarterly earnings and user engagement.

Used to be better

They removed the Xbox settings from the app which is really annoying as it means you have the app for PC and a website for Xbox.

Maybe make it optional to include xbox in the app.

Broke my account

I’ve never been in a family group and all of the sudden I have to be in one to change my settings on Xbox and I can’t even add a family member because Microsoft doesn’t want me to I’m glad I have a pc and will never play Xbox again good riddance

Truly empowering and helpful

Kids don’t like to be told to turn off the laptop but this utility manages it without friction. Could be improved by allowing time to be extended without request and without having to change the weekly schedule.

Not compatible with Xbox

This app is not user friendly and I’ve been through all the support efforts to try and fix the spending account and it hasn’t worked. I’ve changed the region to match everything and it still won’t let my son use the money in his spending account. It’s a terrible app if your using it with Xbox

App has broken

Since update it forces me to a website that keeps crashing you’ve rendered both the app and my sons laptop useless as I can’t approve his requests

Xbox app removed

Since removing Xbox from this app the link doesn’t work to change settings my child has to ask for approval and take longer to get messages and change things. Please add back on app or mite be removing app

Xbox screen time removal.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Why would you remove this and put it on a webpage??? Now I have to go check an email and go to a website to give me son more screen time. Before I got alerts from the app and it was easy to adjust! Please put this feature back or at least add it to the xbox app!

Literal trash - does nothing

No wonder Microsoft has been doing nothing but losing money. This is pure trash. On the dumpster fire that is the Xbox/Microsoft/Live website, it says you download this app so I can change age restrictions for my son’s profile. Then when I use the app, it says that those settings are on the website. So I click on the website link and you know what it says? It says the settings are in the app.
Microsoft and Xbox - you deserve to be in the free fall that you are.

Thanks Microsoft

I just wanted to say thank you for removing the Xbox bits from the app and moving it to your website, which in turn constantly tells you to download the app.

Terrible app

Never worked well to begin with, while managing Xbox time for kids it did not allow for adding more time except for altering the daily schedule. Now, Xbox management has been removed entirely and I am forced to visit the website making this app entirely worthless to me

Xbox screen time

This app is worthless now that they removed the ability to control Xbox screen time for my children. I don’t understand why they would remove that.

Removed Xbox for What Reason?

The ability to adjust/grant time for Xbox alongside Windows was a key feature of this app. Removing Xbox from here and requiring the use of the Xbox Family Safety app is anti-user. Bring it back.

No more XBOX??

Why on earth would you remove this from the app, it was so useful to be able to control both PCs and XBOX from a single app, now I have to go elsewhere to change the kids times adding to to the complexity of parental control.

Does not let you do anything

I’ve been trying to let all my kids add each other as friends so they can play games together. This does not let you do parental controls. Only lets you see what they are playing and not even if they’re playing on a tablet

No XBOX Control

MSFT has removed the only reason for this app. Sadly, their website is out of touch as it suggests to download this app to make Xbox parental permission changes. Cmon MSFT, this is 2026 not 2012

Cool

Cool

Why is screen time moved out of the app?!?!

Screen time control for xbox being moved to browser only is the dumbest choice. It’s the only reason i have the app downloaded. So now I can control pc screen time in the app but have to go to the browser to change it on the xbox. And how can we not have an add 30 min button for a temporary time addition some times everyone is having fun playing and the screen time notification shows up. A one push button to add 10-30 min would be so helpful.
