overall the app is good, it calculates problems and sometimes gives step by step solutions. however something that absolutely makes my blood boil is the fact that when I take a picture of the problem I’m on, the app likes to scan all the other problems that are out of the range of the scan box. this leads me to have to write it out which is very inconvenient and frustrating. not only is this a problem with scanning a problem, but sometimes when I scan a problem a bunch of random characters that aren’t even close to what the problem appears. please fix this as it’s very frustrating to the point to where I want to throw my phone off the 3rd floor of my building.

Great app, one minor problem.
Everything works out great on this app; it gives step by step solutions, and even recommends an online resource called Khan Academy to help you to learn your problems. My only issue is that it writes out the equations long ways, instead of stacked, but this is, like I said, a minor issue and is mainly just another way to write it. I would 100% recommend this to middle and high schoolers doing algebra and things like that. Great app the five stars is earned in my personal opinion.

What an app!!! where you can check your practice exercises to find out if your results are correct! You could see not only the result but the different steps that explains how to get the the correct answer. The beauty of looking at the multiple steps so you can compare your multiple step process with the correct way. As you compare, you can see where your errors where within the multiple step process… and voilà you learn where you are making your mistakes in the process…I will give the confidence necessary to pass your next assignment or test…I will make smart!!! Amazing
I’ve been struggling with math and was thinking of dropping out when i had the idea to get an app similar to this. At first, all the other apps I found had you pay a subscription or you would get a crappy version of it. I was about to think of giving up until I stubbed upon this app. Let’s just say it saved my life. Ever since I’ve used this app, I have gotten straight A in my classes. Really good app, would recommend to others
This is a really great app, it really got me through my highs and lows in highschool, it also helped me understand math better I went from someone who struggled a lot with math to being very good at math and rarely ever messed up on another math problem. I highly recommended this to those who are struggling in math like I once was, all thanks to this app I’ve finally got through highschool and am now taking a 4 year college course for engineering good luck to anyone who downloads this remember to never give up, and always power through even if it’s difficult.

Very Good 9.8/10
It’s very good because I am the best 3rd grade student in my Math Class, I wanted to learn Calculus, but it is too complicated for my geeky math skills. It also has a practice function which after solving your problem, you can take a Quiz with similar math questions as the one you typed in. You can also use your camera to solve a(n) math question on a PC test or paper test, but other people say “Is ThAt CHeatING?”, Nope, It’s not cheats for your test! I give it a 9.8/10 due to minor bugs. But it’s good! I recommend it!

It’s ok
So it’s a great app but sometimes I feel that the results they give really don’t help. I typed in 25x20 (just testing it to see if it works) and obviously it’s 500 but then I scroll down and it showed resources from khan academy like I get they probably thought it was useful but it showed work for different problems. So it’s a great app and all but I feel they can’t use khan academy for every single problem ever. If you see this I suggest when you read that you think long and hard about it. P. S. Absolute Savior!
Thank god for Microsoft Math, without this I would not have a passing grade in my math class. By far the best math app, just take a pic of your problems and have the app solve them for you without having to buy in do some stupid subscription. Definitely beats out Photomath and even Mathway. I’ve been trying to use math way and just like EA Sports is you have to pay for features. When I found this, legit it saved me from having an F in my math class. Thanks Microsoft very very much for making this app!

One of the best calculator apps
You won’t regret getting this. It’s fast, simple to use, and (in my experience) it’s never been wrong. The mode where you can take a photo of your math problem and get the answer to it in seconds is amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs math done with no trouble!!!

I Layed in my bed for an hour staring at my math homework because I had no idea how to solve it. I couldn’t find a tutorial for the type of math I was doing either , I had heard of apps that scan math problems but I thought I would not be able to find one that was free until I found this app! It is so reassuring turning in that math homework knowing my answers are right , and I was so happy when I saw it gives an explanation so I can understand why the answer is the answer. Amazing 😍

i like this app because it shows the work and it absolutely free! you can type in the problem, show them problem and draw the problem! This app honestly amazing! It shows the work just in case you still don’t understand. This app made my life turn into depression to happiness. When I didn’t have this app I didn’t understand anything my professor was saying because I get distracted a lot, I had no clue on what to do on my papers, I would always fail and my mother would always get angry for failing which made me feel like a failure in life i could handle her screaming at me. Music was my therapy back then. I always cry every night because of my grades and everything that was happening to me. My best friend moved and didn’t say goodbye to me only to his other friends. My mom would always punish me by taking away my phone therefore i had no music and made my life worst, i would always stay up until 5-7 because i never wanted to wake up in the morning. I loved it when i was alone home. My dad was my favorite, he left me but i still go with him. I love him so much. Once i downloaded this app this cured all of my bad grades and my mom started to become more proud of me. So i hope you see this and download this!

I really like the app
But there is a something that I would liked to be fix which is when you go to the answer page with everything on it and the answer is longer so you can’t see it all so I want it to be easier to see the whole number
No longer works
This app was working fine for us before and helped a lot when our kid was in virtual school during covid. But all of a sudden it just stopped providing any solutions. It does recognize the equation from the photo but then just says “Something wrong happened” (literally) and does nothing. Typing by hand something simple like x + 2 = 3 produces the same result. Well, it’s not “something”, it’s your terrible development quality, let’s just be honest. Reinstalling didn’t help, so moving to another app. Thanks for memories, Microsoft!

I struggle from time to time in algebra and have used multiple apps for it. This one has been the best so far! Unlike most calculators, this one provides free explanations on every problem and doesn't require you to spend money at all. It gives you very simple but outstanding steps and generally just lets you have all the information you need. This has completely saved me from wasting time and I really enjoy using it! I recommend this to anyone who needs answers and especially step by step explanations. 💛

Very Helpful & Great So Far!
I’ve only had the app for a short amount of time and it’s been great, it’s all free, yes FREE, unlike other apps that don’t allow you to access certain things unless you have a subscription this one doesn’t! It’s great and you have options to enter your problem: draw, scan, or type :) there’s step by step which is very helpful and you can even take a quiz that’s based off of the problem you entered. (please use this wisely and you should only use it when you’re having trouble or just need a reminder on how to do something:)) overall I love this app and it’s so helpful and worth it :D

Really appreciate the effort by Microsoft. A free no ad app. Solves really complex equations and explains it step by step. Please keep up the good work. Hope the developers and the product team stay on top with such innovation. This is a nice way to provide those with lesser resources an equitable way of learning abd not getting stuck without help.
