MIDI Designer XW: A Welcome Addition to My Casio XW-G1 Setup
What I appreciate most about MIDI Designer XW is its seamless integration with the Casio XW sound engine. It allows me to control pretty much any param or function I want. This make sound design *so* much easier.
The interface is really clean and not cluttered, which means I can focus on the music and not getting lost in tons of menus.
Gotta say, I did experience a minor hiccup while setting up the app initially. It wasn't immediately clear to me that I needed to use a USB cable to connect my Casio XW-G1 to my iOS device. After some googling around, I got it connected, but it would have been helpful if the app provided clearer instructions on this step.
So, despite this small obstacle during setup, MIDI Designer XW has been a crazy valuable addition to my Casio XW-G1 setup. It has streamlined my whole creative process, and it has opened up entirely new possibilities for sound design and live performance.
If you own a Casio XW series keyboard, I can't recommend it enough. It will take your synth and how you use it to a whole other level.

Brings XW To a New Level
I'm pretty sure I left a review a few years ago when I first downloaded it this. I'm not seeing it now.
This app is great and brings this keyboard to another level, especially being able to sculpt sounds as I want them. Making sound through the front panel of the keyboard isn't as great.

This app has NEVER worked.
I have had my XWG1 since it came out, and I have tried 3 camera connection kits on my ipad, and no matter what I do, this will not connect. Shame.

Excellent, 5 stars. Really shows off and gives access to the power of the XW Solo Synth mode, as well as the power of MIDI Designer itself. Makes me want to get the full MD package to try to do the same with the XW's Hex Layer

This app truly extends the functionality of the Casio synthesizers. I love it. I also love the touch screen responsiveness on the iPad.
