What's New in MIDI Device Manager

1.06

October 28, 2026

Version 1.06 • GT-Pro: fixed bank and patch numbering. Patches above number 100 now select the correct sound on the GT-Pro. IMPORTANT: re-import your GT-Pro library, then re-pick the patch on any pad you created earlier. • Patch locations (such as U13-9 or P33-9) now show in the pad patch picker and in the Selected Patch line, and are searchable. • Libraries are now called "Searchable Instrument Indexes", with clearer wording on the screen and in the delete dialogs. • The library detail screen shows the patch count, with user and factory patches counted separately when they apply. • Clearer explanation that MDM cannot detect an instrument's MIDI channel, and that MDM asks for it when you add the device.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for trying MDM and for the kind words — really means a lot, especially this early on. Glad it's already proving useful for your music. If anything ever comes up, or you've got ideas for what would make it even better, don't hesitate to reach out at support@mididevicemanager.com. Always happy to hear from musicians using MDM. Thanks again! Christian
