Frustrating app

When first purchasing this app, I never realized it was such a major deep learning curve. I had Cubasis 3 opened, tried different settings on the Midi FX pro app, nothing worked. Then when trying to get support, I was driven in a circle every time I tried signing into my google account from the mail app from apple. I was hoping also for FX to be added right away in the digital audio workspace. Very frustrating and a huge learning curve especially from someone with low vision and have little experience using midi other than to plug in a device for the DAW, and it starts working.

Fun Modular Midi App

This is a fun Midi and audio environment to make interesting audio projects.

When you get used to it then itโ€™s fairly simple to use though there could be a few GUI features to help build projects and speed up workflow, like for example with the Merger node you could have a + button to add an extra input etc.

The app is a good purchase though and definitely looking forward to future updates, if your interested in more creative midi setups then this is something to take a look at.

The following comments below and some ideas for the developer to consider and some bugs i noticed.

- Ideas for the app:

Like another review mentioned having Midi AU3 support would be great since this is a midi based app.

It would be great if there was a favourites system to quickly re-use popular synths and effect with the AU3 loaders.

It would be good if there was control page and a way to link sliders and buttons etc so you perform a music set with a project.

Being able to group then re-use groups would be interesting as you could then make a setup for say an arpeggios sound you like then re-use it with another project.

A global volume control by the play and stop button.

Being able to expand the keyboard control larger would be useful.

- Suggestions for new nodes:

Drum pad
Note Chance (Set the probability the note will pass through)
Midi triggered switch (Switch when a note event is received)
Random switch (Switch randomly based on clock and probability)
Wav sample player
Simple oscillator (Where you can set a Hz frequency and waveform)
Crossfader
Latch (Hold note)
Quantize

Simple Generator And Arp (The current nodes are good but it would be good if there were also very simple ones to send out a constant repeating note or arpeggio pattern)

- Bug reports:

If you click a AU3 thatโ€™s been setup to pick another it instantly changes rather than keeping the old setting.

If you go to load a project then there is no confirm before switch if a project is already open.

Misc:

Apple Shortcuts, URL Schemes and widgets to launch projects etc. This could allow for some interesting options.

One of the best apps to be creative with MIDI - please allow AUv3 MIDI effects

No coding required and a very well designed UI makes this an ideal playground for MIDI experimentation.
Please add support for AUv3 MIDI modules.
And please improve the AUv3 module browser that currently does not seem to follow any logic for sorting the modules. I would add a search bar.

Non functioning on 13.1

App crashes as soon as it opens, seemed like a fun thing, but havent been able to use it
