there are no instructions with this, and I spent 20 minutes, trying to figure out how to get it to work. it's a nice idea, but instructions would be appropriate.

I purchased this to hear and play files. The scoring feature is terribly limited and produces no sound? Really, hopefully someone will explain why?
App Crashes!
I just bought the paid version of this app because I really liked the free one. I wanted it to transpose the music. But mostly everything I try to change crashes the app. For example, after I transpose a song, it crashes and I have to restart the app. I want to give it many more stars … but the crashes must be fixed to make this paid app usable. Please fix!

(Spring 2021 1 Star - review update: I loved this (pro version) and gave it one of my only reviews a few years ago as it was so good (5Star), but since an iOS update about a year ago it no longer works, the developer doesn’t reply and the support link goes to a server error. If you now try to download a musical midi file from anywhere, when you open it in midiscore it will appear empty and won’t play/will error so can’t be used. I really hope the developer repairs it as it was amazing and I can’t find anything to replace it, but, currently, don’t download it as it doesn’t work.)
(Original 5Star review from a few years ago: Indispensable for learning Folk Music: Amazing app, super simple but everything you need to learn folk music. Find a song you like in session.org, click “download midi” and it instantly loads and saves in this app. You see the music, hear the midi file and can alter speed pitch etc etc. Tried quite a few and this seems the easiest and simplest. Once paid, iPhone app will also load on iPad and your saved songs are still there (I had to click restore purchases once to set up)).
