mig was a speed reader. it is a practice app now, under a new name, and everything below is new since the version on your phone. four ways through any set: блиц · flash the speed reader you already have. one word at a time, 10 to 300 a minute, paired with english or russian only. карточки · flashcards flip through a set at your own pace. tap to turn, tap the speaker to hear the word, swipe like a real deck. повторяй · repeat aloud say a word out loud and mig scores how close you got, listening on-device: nothing is sent anywhere. it grades sound rather than spelling, so «нравиться» and «нравится» are judged the way a russian ear hears them, not the way a dictionary spells them. слушай · listen the mode you don't look at. mig reads a set aloud and loops until you stop it. it keeps playing with the screen off and takes the lock screen controls, so a set can run on a walk or a commute. recorded russian, in eight voices. 1,431 words and phrases across 28 themed sets, and every one is a recording rather than a synthesized guess, read by eight different speakers. bring your own sets too, from a csv or json file. бортжурнал, the logbook. a dated record of what you actually practiced: which sets, which modes, how long, and which words you met or moved to known. the rest: a слово дня widget for your home screen. one quiet daily reminder, off by default, that skips the days you already practiced. light mode. mig remembers your place in every mode, so a set you left half finished is waiting where you stopped. только новые practices only what you haven't learned yet. still free, still offline, still no account.
