Dates show incorrectly and cannot be edited

I took a chance and downloaded this app based on reviews from the developer’s other apps. The data is easy enough to enter but there was an issue with the two entries I entered. For the first one I entered 12/28 as the date. The app changed it to 11/27. There is an edit option, so I tried to correct it and the edit would not take. The second date I entered was 12/31 and the app changed it to null. Again, I tried to edit it to correct and it would not take. I’m deleting the app and looking for something else.
