About

Miirror Mask is the digital cousin of Freddie Yauner's acclaimed Mirror Mask project, allowing you to wear a digital mirror mask that reflects all the color, texture, and light around you. Using the same tech that encourages us to constantly photograph ourselves, Miirror Mask turns the camera back towards the world — an "anti-selfie" that places you back into your surroundings. Show your eyes, your mouth, or nothing at all. Change the size and shape of the mask, move through different surroundings, and show the world what you're looking at. BECOME THE WORLD AROUND YOU! The digital mirror mask sticks onto your face and reflects the scene in front of you. Choose from five different mask shapes and adjust how big or small you want it to be with the bottom slider. Press the current shape's icon to rotate it. The smiley button lets you cycle through four faces: • Eyes and mouth • Mouth only • Eyes only • Just mirror Record a video or take a pic. It's that simple :) Despite all the noise, all the algorithms, all the pressure to present a perfect version of yourself online, there is still something incredibly powerful about saying: This is what I'm looking at... Now go and find some magic in the world! #whatimlookingat Developed by Jonathan Becker in collaboration with Freddie Yauner. Works on iPhone XS and later (uses the front and back cameras at the same time).

Video recordings are now captured at 60 frames per second, so the mask moves in your clips the way it moves on screen. Tap the shape you are already wearing to turn it: the square becomes a diamond, the rectangle goes wide, the triangle flips, the star ticks round. The recording timer is now handwritten. Fixes a bug where the mask could flip upside down after the camera lost your face at a steep tilt.
