Grand Kingdom Set
I was an early adopter of the Square Off company, purchasing their flag-ship product, the Grand Kingdom Chess Board. It is an excellent product, wowing my family and friends when they see the opposing chess pieces move by themselves, and equally when the pieces reset the board on completing a game. I had an issue last year when Square Off rebranded to Miko Chess, in that my Square Off app stopped resetting the pieces. I contacted the Support Team who responded quickly to my query. Although it took them some development team to resolve the issue they did keep me regularly updated on their progress and eventually the issue was resolved. I find the IOS app very intuitive and have had no further issues with my games. My Grand Kingdom Set still looks the impressive piece of technology kit I purchased on initial release, plays beautifully, still has the wow factor. Keep supporting the IOS app and continue to provide regular software updates please. All in all, a fantastic chess board and playing experience, and one that I have no hesitation in highly recommending. Keep up the great work!

Avoid this product.
The board looks impressive but the performance is awful. The app is painfully slow, constantly disconnects, and half the features don’t even work. The motor is loud, the piece movement is slow, and the whole thing feels badly built.
There’s no proper practice mode, no customisable sounds, and you can’t even play purely from your phone without relying on the board — which defeats the point.
It could have been a great idea, but the execution is terrible. For the price, this is a joke. Spend your money elsewhere.

Grand Kingdom
I have had the Grand Kingdom chess set for several years. It has been working perfectly. Lately I had a software glitch. I emailed support and they contacted me and resolved the issue very quickly. I was impressed with their knowledge and response.
I love playing chess with Miko
The app is great. It connects quickly to my Miko Chess Grand board. Even without the board, I can play chess anywhere with the app and I still get the great feedback about my games. The app is perfect for people of all skill levels.

This app works with all of my Miko chess sets. I have the NEO, Grand Wisdom, Grand Chess and the Pro and love them all. I am retired and disabled so I dont get out much. I use this app to play against the Miko AI which has 32 levels of challenging play and with the automatic piece movement, it’s like playing against a real person. I also use the app to connect to chess.com and lichess to play against my children and other players from around the world and have made a lot of friends that I play against regularly. The customer service is AMAZING !! They are very responsive and have resolved any issues I have had quickly. Thank you Miko !!!

Chess.com is back !
Now that the major bugs have been fixed, it's a great app and works great with SquareOff Pro. I think it's the best value for money on the market right now.

Awesome Customer Service
Customer service is first rate. When I purchased a Squareoff Pro board Miko app was not recording the moves made. Customer Service jumped on the issue from the very first email and did not leave my side until issue was resolved. Thank you Miko Customer Service.

Excellent mechanics and AI
The movement of pieces is nearly flawless and is just so cool to play physically with remote opponents. Also customer support is extremely attentive
