About
Mikros BaDerech is a clean, focused way to learn Tanach with Targum and the classic mefarshim, the Mikraos Gedolos experience built for your phone, tablet and browser.
Read the pesukim, then go deeper
The main view shows just the text of the pasuk, as running text broken at the petuchos and setumos. Tap any pasuk and a panel opens with its Targum and translation, the mefarshim you've chosen, your notes and a bookmark button. It stays quiet until you want more.
All of Tanach
All 39 books of Torah, Nevi'im and Ketuvim, organized by section, with search in Hebrew, English or transliteration. Type "Bereishis", "Genesis" or "בראשית" and it finds it.
Learn by parsha and aliyah
Follow the weekly parsha aliyah by aliyah. The app knows which parsha is this week and includes the haftara for your minhag: Ashkenaz, Sefard or Chabad.
Shnayim Mikra
Do your weekly shnayim mikra with Onkelos or Rashi in the peirush slot. Choose how the text is grouped (by pasuk, peh or aliyah), and whether Targum comes before or after the pasuk. Rashi can be shown in ktav Rashi.
The mefarshim
- Torah: Onkelos, Rashi, Ramban, Ibn Ezra, Rashbam, Sforno, Baal HaTurim, Or HaChaim and Chizkuni
- Nach: Targum Yonasan, Rashi, Radak, Metzudas Dovid and Tzion, Ralbag, Ibn Ezra, Sforno and Malbim with Biur HaMilos, each on the books where it exists
Turn on only the ones you want. Torah and Nach selections are saved separately.
