Needed, but could be better.
What choice do I have? This app is OK. But, I need it for retesting in a new state. It could be cheap cheaper. It’s definitely not a very interactive app.
Disappointed
I purchased the course on here when I started Cosmetology school. I didn’t realize it expires?!! So I paid around $500 for the Milady Textbook and online course then I paid $40 for this app’s full affect and you’re telling me it expired before I even finished my program at school. I think for how much I have paid Milady that this is ridiculous and truthful it’s not worth the $40 anyways. The questions were not challenging and other PSI apps will prepare you far more than this app.

Motivational
This app helps me stay motivated and determined to stay focus. I am studying for my state board exam. The only thing I was concern about was the questions and the submit button on the bottom. There’s been a few times I accidentally hit the submit button instead of the next. It automatically saves onto your record. I would like to delete and start over. Overall it is a good app to study for the state board exam.

Irritated
The website and app and both highly irritating. It’s excruciatingly laggy and slow. Regardless of how great your WiFi connection is. Logging in is also a hassle. You can click remember me every time you log in and it never will. When your on a mobile device you loose the ability to click through your chapter and have to manually click through the tabs until you get to where you need to be while waiting a total of 15-20 minutes because of how long it takes for each page to load. And that’s JUST the website. Let alone the app. It’s extraordinary how we’re are required as students in schools to use this horrendous program. THAT COMES OUT OF OUR TUITION. WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS. If I could get my money back and put it toward something that will work I would.

Barber Exam
I’ve noticed there’s some chapters missing for Barbers like Men’s Haircutting and Styling. I’m preparing to take my State Board Exam and this app is more focused on Cosmetology.

Fix the app already
the app lags it takes several minutes to load at times you can’t delete the custom tests and then you have a ton of accidentally made ones. You also can’t edit the tests after the fact. you can’t look at all of the questions available. I have seen reviews from people spanning back multiple years with the same common issues and with the fact that you have to pay $40 to access content that hasn’t been fixed is scummy.

Disappointing for a Paid App
The biggest issue with the Milady app is how slow it is. It constantly lags and takes forever to load, which makes studying really frustrating and inefficient. For something students rely on daily, the performance is honestly unacceptable.
It also doesn’t work on a computer at all, which is a huge limitation. Not everyone wants to study on their phone, and having no proper desktop option makes it even harder to stay consistent.
On top of that, I paid for this app and expected it to actually function properly. There are still basic issues like not being able to delete custom tests and my comprehensive report being stuck on “busy” and never loading.
Overall, it feels glitchy, slow, and not worth the money in its current state.
It also doesn’t work on a computer at all, which is a huge limitation. Not everyone wants to study on their phone, and having no proper desktop option makes it even harder to stay consistent.

Not accurate
The questions on the test did not match the titles. I was getting questions for Massage Therapist on the Esthetician test.

Milady exam prep
I studied daily with Milady exam prep for a week and I took the practice test over and over until I absorbed all the information correctly. When I went in today to take my Illinois State cosmetology exam, I passed with a 92% and I’m very relieved I purchased this practice exam.

Great Material but THATS ALL
This app is a good tool to prepare for my state boards, but it is very frustrating that I cannot open it on my Mac. I would be nice to have it on a bigger screen. It also will not load my reports to see how I’m doing in each chapter and logs you out often. So I’d only buy this if you’re ok with doing it on your iPhone.

Purchased and didn’t get access
I purchased this app for the esthetician exam prep and had been contemplating it for weeks before I decided to spend the $40. I spend the $40, the app said “transaction cancelled” and still charged me. I have no access to the app and got hung up on by customer service twice. Do not recommend.

I downloaded this app excited to study for my advanced esthetics state board exam but unfortunately not being able to purchase the packet at all! the app has difficulty even loading and is stuck on the “please wait” part of the purchasing. This was very disappointing
