Every Postpartum Doula & NCS’s Dream App!

As a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, discovering this app has been an absolute game changer for my practice.
Instead of juggling six different apps and logging in and out of client accounts, everything is localized in one seamless hub. Switching between families—even clients who use the same tracking platform—used to be a major pain point, but this app makes transitioning between profiles completely effortless.
What truly sets it apart is the deep level of customization. Every family has unique needs, and being able to toggle specific tracking fields on or off—including tailored setups for multiples—allows me to meet every client right where they are. At the end of the day, fed is best, and this app makes supporting and celebrating every family's journey simple.
Plus, the design is stunning! Whether you prefer light, dark, or black-and-white mode, the sleek aesthetic stays intact. It’s functional, beautiful, and an essential tool for any newborn care professional. Highly recommended!

"Six different apps and logging in and out of client accounts" is the exact thing working newborn care specialists kept telling me about, and it is why it is built the way it is — you sign in as yourself rather than as the family, and your name stays on everything you logged. Coming from someone doing this professionally, this is the one I will be re-reading on the hard days. Thank you. If anything is missing for how you actually run a shift, I would genuinely like to hear it — hello@milkmonster.app.

Super helpful

This app has been great for my husband and I especially since we’re sleep deprived first time parents. We use it just to track feeds but the rest of the app seems great too.

Response from developer

Sleep-deprived first-time parents is precisely who the first version got built for — my wife and I were doing the "wait, when did she last eat?" thing at 3am and I got tired of guessing. If you only ever use it for feeds, that is genuinely fine. If you do want more later, sleep and diapers work the same way, and whatever either of you logs shows up on both phones at once. Thank you for writing this while you are in the thick of it.

Save every moment

Response from developer

"Save every moment" — that's the whole reason this exists, said better than we manage on our own website. Thank you so much. If you ever need anything, or have an idea for us, we're at milkmonster.app/support. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

Love the simplicity

My hubby picked this app out of many when we first came home from the hospital. I loved that either one of us could easily log feedings, diaper changes, pumping and have easy reference to stay on track. After we were hooked came the end of a free trial. We decided as much as we loved it and used it, that 9.99 would be worth it. Sadly, we have run into issues where app will not open and we are having to delete and redownload it every time we go to use the app. Giving it until tomorrow to be worked out, then we will probably find another. We need that reliability.

Response from developer

You are right, and I am sorry. That one was my fault — I pushed a bad update on the evening of the 6th that stopped the app opening, and it took me until late that night to roll it back properly. Deleting and reinstalling every time is exactly what that looked like from your side. It is fixed now. If it is still doing it for you, please email hello@milkmonster.app and I will sort it out personally and make it right, subscription included. You said you need reliability. That is fair, and it is on me to earn back.

Our whole family loves this app!!

Our whole family loves this app so much! As a family where a newborn is being cared for by his aunt, grandparents, and mom, Milk Monster has been a lifesaver. We never have to ask, “Wait… when did Grayson last eat?” or try to remember who fed him, changed him and when. 😂 Everyone can stay on the same page, which makes caring for him between different family members so much easier and less stressful.

It’s simple, convenient, and genuinely makes a difference for our family. We love being able to open the app and immediately know what Grayson needs without blowing up the family group chat. If you have multiple people helping care for your baby, this app is SO worth it. 🤍🍼

"Without blowing up the family group chat" might be the best description of this app anyone has written. An aunt, grandparents and mum all on one log is exactly the case it exists for. The part I am proudest of is that everyone signs in as themselves, so you can see who did what and not just that it got done. Thank you for writing this.

Awesome app!

I love that I can keep charge of my baby’s feedings and my pumping session on this app! I also appreciate that it is free unlike others

Response from developer

"Free unlike others" is the line I'd hoped someone would say out loud. It's deliberate. Feeds, pumping, diapers, sleep and growth are free, along with the last 30 days of your log, and it isn't a trial waiting to snap shut. Since 2.0 there's also a Home Screen widget for your last feed, and you can start or end sleep straight from Control Center. Both free - small things, but they earn their keep when you're mid-pump with no hands. If there's ever something you'd love it to do next, milkmonster.app/ideas - we read every one. - Erick & Alyssa

FTM

As first-time parents to an early-term little boy with jaundice, breastfeeding came with a bit of a learning curve. Keeping him awake at the breast meant we quickly found ourselves in the world of triple feeding. 😅

My husband and I tried a few different tracking apps, but the moment we found Milk Monster, we were sold. It’s incredibly user-friendly, thoughtfully designed, and honestly just pleasant to use during those sleep-deprived newborn days.

We love that we can track everything in one place; not just feeds, but diaper changes, sleep, and health. One of our favorite features is that multiple caregivers can use the app simultaneously, so we’re always seeing real-time updates. The journal section for milestones and the notes tab for questions to ask the pediatrician are an additional and thoughtfully useful tool.

Basically, this app is a one-stop shop! Highly recommended to any new parent, especially if triple feeding has unexpectedly become your full-time job!

Response from developer

Triple feeding is the part nobody warns you about — nurse, pump, bottle, and then it's somehow time to start again before you've put anything down. That you found a spare minute to write this while you're actually in it means a great deal to us. Your start sounds close to ours. Isabella arrived in May, we spent over a week in the hospital, and the whole reason this app exists is that Alyssa and I kept having to ask each other who fed her last. So reading that you and your husband are both in there seeing the same log update in real time is the exact thing we built it for, and honestly the thing I most hoped someone would one day say back to us. Glad the journal and the pediatrician notes are pulling their weight too. Those were quiet additions we weren't at all sure anyone would use. If there's ever something you wish it did, come tell us at milkmonster.app/ideas — we read every single one. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

The best baby tracking app!

I’ve tried a dozen of these baby tacking apps and this is hands down the best one! It’s simple and easy to use, the info is clear, and the app is visually nice to look at!

Response from developer

A dozen apps and this is the one that stuck — that's the review I most hoped we'd get. Thank you. "Simple and clear" is genuinely the hardest part; we've cut more features than we've shipped to keep it that way, so it means a lot to hear that it landed. If you ever have a question, or something you'd love it to do next, come tell us at milkmonster.app/ideas — we read every single one. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

Best tracking app for my needs

At the hospital, I was logging feed times and diapers on paper. When I got home I thought I was good to go without it, but I was wrong. Not logging made me so anxious. I tried a few apps, but Milk Monster is the one that works for me. I like that my partner can log and we can both see timestamps. Once you start a feed you can pause or stop from the lock screen. We’re also able to log health entries, and export the data for the pediatrician if needed. The app is user friendly. It is one of the only apps I’ve been able to find that allows you to change the actual start times for each entry. This is an important feature for me bc I might not have a free hand to start the timer when I’m alone so I can check the clock and change it later.

This might be the most useful review we've ever gotten — thank you for taking the time to write all of it. The paper-at-the-hospital, then-thinking-you're-fine-once-you're-home part is our story too, right down to how anxious it got when we stopped. And you found the feature we fought hardest for. You almost never have a free hand at the moment it's actually happening — a tracker that can only record "now" is recording a fiction. Same reason the feed controls ended up on the lock screen. If you ever hit a question, or think of something that would make it fit your days better, we'd really like to hear it: milkmonster.app/ideas. You clearly know what you need out of one of these. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

Best app of all time!!

I love this app!! Oh my gosh please never ever get rid of it or let this app shut down I'm begging. I want to use this for the rest of my son's childhood. My whole family is logged into my son's log and this has given me something to look forward to while being home with a newborn. Thank you so much for creating this it is curated BEAUTIFULLY!

PS: The only thing that I want to request is, once you delete an accidental breast feeding it stays in the log and doesn't disappear, it just stays there and says "removed by..." and it drives my ocd a little nuts that it doesn't go away but other than that 10/10!!!!!

Response from developer

Erin — following up, because this one is done. The line no longer shows when you delete your own entry within half an hour of making it. It only stays now if someone removes an entry a different caregiver made — which is the case it was actually built for, and it turned out to be about 3% of deletes. Yours was the other 97%. It's in the latest update, so if your App Store hasn't refreshed yet it'll arrive with the next one. And as promised, nothing was ever actually lost — every removed entry is still in the CSV export, with who removed it and when. Thank you for the push. You were right. — Erick

Really helpful!

My wife tracks EVERYTHING. This app has helped make it so easy. Thanks!

Response from developer

This made our whole morning — thank you. We're Erick and Alyssa, the two very tired parents who built Milk Monster, and hearing it helped at your pediatrician visit is exactly why we made it. The “add a baby” button is there because our family's growing too — congratulations on your newest little one, and give them a squeeze from us. 🍼

Love it

We use this with our granddaughter and it’s so helpful.

Response from developer

Thank you — this is one of our favorite kinds of messages to get. The whole idea was that everyone caring for a baby could be on the same log, so Mom can hand off and still know exactly how the day went. Grandparents are what make that actually work. Give your granddaughter a squeeze from us — and if a question or an idea ever comes up, we're at milkmonster.app/support. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

LOVE this App!!!

I’ve tried other apps for my newborn, and this one is by far the best (and prettiest!)!!

Response from developer

"And prettiest" might be our favorite compliment yet — thank you. We're a two-person operation and we care a probably-unreasonable amount about how it looks, so that one really lands. Congratulations on your newborn. If a question or an idea comes up, we'd love to hear it at milkmonster.app/ideas. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

This app is a lifesaver

My wife wants to exclusively breast feed, but had problems producing enough milk. Milk Monster keeps her on a schedule, and her body seems to have adjusted to her more regimented routine. Thank you!

Response from developer

This genuinely made our day — thank you. Those first feeding weeks are such a stressful, tender stretch (we lived every minute of it), and if having one calm place to stay on schedule has taken even a little pressure off your wife, that's exactly why we built this. Sending her so much strength — she's doing an amazing job! Thank you for being one of our very first. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼

I’m Grandpa

We use this for our granddaughter. It’s been incredibly helpful when we watch her. Easy to use and her mom loves knowing everything is taken care of. Wish we had this when we were having kids!

Response from developer

A grandpa review just made our whole week. 🥹 This is exactly the moment we built Milk Monster for — Mom getting to hand off and still know everything's taken care of, because Grandpa's got it covered. That trust between caregivers is the whole point. Thank you for being part of your granddaughter's village — give that little one a squeeze from us. — Erick & Alyssa 🍼
