Sound

The app is really good and love it, unfortunately the sound don’t work on iPad but does on my iPhone. Wonder if you could help, I’ve tried reinstalling app but don’t work. Thanks

How do I access my previous games

The question was “‘Ponte is the Italian word for what?” I meant to tap Bridge (correct answer), When I Accidentally Tapped Church (Incorrect Answer). Is there any way I can regain access to the game just because I misclicked or…….?

Decent, but a few big let downs

Question rankings (in terms of difficulty) do not correspond as they should with what question you’re on . £0-£1000 questions are far too tricky for what they should be. They should be very straightforward play on words questions, not asking which sea is amber mined from. Similarly, asking what laurel and hardys first names were for £250,000 feels far too easy. Surely more like a £2,000 question! The phone a friend option is often a waste of time and too predictable. I’ve been playing a whole day and 19 out of about 20 times I’ve used it they just say ‘I don’t know, it’s definitely not X but that’s all I can say’, poorly designed lifeline for the game and needs fixing as that lifeline is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard most of the time.

Good, but the lower level questions are too hard

Nice graphics and really well made, but they really need to sort out the difficulty of the £100 to £1000 questions, in the show these are supposed to be idiot proof, but I’m finding myself burning through lifelines to get to £1000 because some of the questions are pretty obscure. I don’t have an issue with the game asking hard questions, but throwing them at you in the earliest stages isn’t representative of the real show and ruins the experience by making you use life lines earlier on and therefore stopping the game prematurely before it has a chance to get interesting.

Brilliant

I would say this is the closest your getting to the real tv show, from the music to the effects and everything else unlike all the other rubbish out on the App Store, plus it doesn’t force you to answer the questions in a set time your allowed to have time to think and enjoy the game. Highly recommend.

Good but questions are unbalanced

It would be better if the questions weren’t so difficult for the level they were at.

Example:
For £100: Which character did Judi Dench play in ‘The Quantum of Solace’?

I’d say that’d belong in… Question 8 to 10 territory.

And also, the questions are a bit too easy as well.

Example 2:
For £32,000: What is the background colour of the Tunisian flag? That should be, at most, Question 6.

I would sort of like it if the questions were easier on the 100-1,000 level like it works in the actual show, then they gradually get harder as you climb.

I like the features where you can set your 2nd safe landmark and that, my only grudge is that the questions are kind of unbalanced. I give this game a 7 out of 10.

Best authentic Millionaire game on the App Store

I’ve been looking for a good WWTBAM game on the go and I stumbled upon this. I was going to go for the free-to-play Millionaire Trivia but I heard it wasn’t very good - this game is at a very generous price and provides the best experience of playing Millionaire.

If I could make suggestions, it would be nice to hear the music that plays when you get a £100-£1000 question wrong from the original series (though I’m not sure if this has changed in the modern format), as well as the music that plays when the player walks off the stage when a game has finished regardless of whether they won or not (just for authenticity).

It would also be good if the questions were balanced out a bit more in the £100-£1000 range, some felt as though they belong in the range above.

There are also a few questions and answers that have some spelling mistakes - ‘Amazom’ being one of the answers to a question about which company is known for Gmail.

Other than that, this game is a recommendation!

Add Fastest Finger First Game Mode

Can Fastest Finger First Game Mode be added to this game? This will make the game experience much better because it’s very competitive round before you start the classic game. Can you please add this feature to this next update? Besides that, everything is great! Keep it up with the updates for this great game!

Disappointing

Being a great fan of the show I was looking forward to playing the app but the difficulty of the first questions up to £1,00 has spoilt it for me. Doesn’t give you much incentive and far harder than the Tv show. Also a lot of American questions too.

Update - another question for £1,000 - which show was Big Bird in had the wrong answer. It should be Sesame Street not The Muppet Show!

Good if it had the correct answers!

Big Bird was on Sesame Street NOT The Muppets! Shame on the editors of this game.
The game is advertised on the British TV show but it’s clearly made for the US market and the questions are biased. Plus, the first under £1000 questions sometimes include a tough one, unlike the easy TV equivalent.

Graphics are great, question selection needs work!

Firstly, I love the feel of the game and the ‘Champions’ element.

There are major issues with the question selection, however. Some questions are far too difficult for the value of the prize. The first five questions should generally not require too much brainpower - yet I’m finding that some asked might be better placed in the second or third five.

Also had an issue with the lifelines where, after having taken a 50:50, the audience only voted on the two answers that had been removed. That was a one-off though.

In summary, lovely graphics and feel, but questions need re-sorting as to where in the cash ladder they should be asked.

Decent overall

An enjoyable app.
Agree with another review that says some questions are oddly priced, but then things are always easy if you know.
Lifelines are frustrating, appreciate they aren’t always perfect in the show, but the number of wrong answers given on answers between £2,000-£16,000 is a bit much.
Great effort though really like playing, and enjoy the leaderboards each week

Harder than the show

Even the first few questions seem extremely difficult compared to the show

Below par

This game is fun but is flawed. When you win, there is no celebration it’s just game done. Three times I’ve got quite far in the game and used a lifeline that’s failed me. Audience 86 percent sure and it’s wrong. Same with phone a friend, every time I use it the answer is wrong.. 96 percent sure, I won’t use another life line…. Wrong 😡 actually wish I could get a refund.

Alisson Becker

I was enjoying this game and was very happy with it until i got to a question on the nationality of the goalkeeper alisson becker. I knew he was the Brazilian Liverpool keeper. I put Brazilian and it said i was wrong and that he was german. Even though i knew i was correct i had to look it up and double check! Of course i was correct. This doesn’t give me confidence in the developers especially with more difficult questions. How can I possibly trust that i got a question wrong in future. The the back of my mind I’ll constantly be second guessing the computer. Honestly this has ruined the enjoyment of this game for me.

Reveal correct right answer and Audience sound effects

Can you please update the following: Reveal what the correct answer is when you walk away with your winnings and when you switch the question. Add audience sound effects when you get a question right, win the million, walk away with the money and when you get the answer wrong to any question. That way, the game experience will be so much better.

Lots of potential

I have noticed that the question difficulty is a lot more difficult than the actual show. The geography questions that come up before £32,000 are very difficult.

The bug with the ask the audience lifeline giving 0% to the correct answer also makes it very difficult

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the game. We truly appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the question difficulty and the 'Ask the Audience' lifeline. We strive to maintain the authenticity and challenge of the original "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" show in our game. To ensure this, the questions you encounter are either directly from the show or carefully reviewed and approved by the Millionaire question team. This rigorous process is one of the key aspects that makes our game highly engaging and true to the show’s spirit. While some questions may seem particularly challenging, reaching the £32,000 milestone itself is a significant achievement and a testament to your skill and knowledge. If you have more feedback or suggestions, please feel free to send us an email at millionaire@spe.sony.com. We're always eager to hear from our players and improve the game experience. Thank you for playing, and we value your continued support and enthusiasm for the game.

Great game

I’ve been playing Millionaire Champions for a week now and I’m loving it! I’ve only played classic mode so far, but I’ve found it great. The tv gameshow music really adds to the overall experience. In summary it’s an excellent game that does a great job of replicating the feel of the show :o)

Receiving feedback like this makes us really happy. We're thrilled that you're enjoying our game and we look forward to bringing you more exciting updates. If you have any further comments or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at millionaire@spe.sony.com.

Oh dear

I’m sorry, Sony, I want to like your game but unfortunately after five or so games I don’t think I can play any more.

There are some major flaws I see with the game:

- The questions are out of whack. I’m not sure who you have marking how hard the questions are but in the earlier questions (especially 6-10) the questions are too hard. I am a seasoned quizzed, have played thousands of quizzes and watched hundreds of episodes of millionaire. What you have here doesn’t stack up. It is fundamentally too hard. Even some of the earliest questions aren’t deserving to be that early on.

- I find Ask the Audience frustrating, as a few times it will give a graph of two answers where the question had four, and on a few of those instances 0% of the audience got the question right, which I am certain has never happened before on the real show.

- The audience in the background is jarring as the imagery keeps clipping. Please sort this out.

- The text on the golden millionaire logo where it stated how much you’ve won is far too small. There’s room for bigger, please make it so, it’s hard to read.

- Finally, there’s just no ambience at all. No tension, no atmosphere, nothing. It’s bland, and I’d expect more here.

I’m happy you created a true to life game of millionaire without the gimmicks of tokens, collecting characters and all that frankly nonsense, but the game only gets 2* at this stage because it has some way to go before I opt to use it as a daily game I want to play. It’s more irritating than it is educational or fun at this point.

Response from developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback. Your perspective as an experienced quiz enthusiast is greatly appreciated. Question Difficulty: Thanks for your comments on difficulty. We want to let you know that the questions you encounter are either those actually used in the show itself or are approved for their difficulty levels by the Millionaire question team. It's one of the very best things about the game. While it seems you've been stumped a few times, reaching a million is, as you know, always a challenge. We believe you'll find the game to be very well balanced as you continue to play. Text Size on the Logo: We've taken your comments about the text size on the logo to heart and are looking into making it more legible in future updates. Ensuring our game is accessible and enjoyable is of utmost importance to us. Game Ambience: For an immersive gaming experience, we recommend having the volume on. The official soundtrack, along with the show's characteristic sound effects, particularly the heartbeat music, are fundamental in creating the suspenseful atmosphere you know and love from the TV show. Game Design Feedback: We pride ourselves on creating a mobile game that closely adheres to the TV show's format. The "Ask the Audience" lifeline is designed to offer diminishing returns as the game progresses, mimicking the show's increasing difficulty. It is possible, albeit rare, for the audience to converge on two out of four answers, adding a realistic layer of unpredictability. Audience Rendering: We've rigorously tested the rendering of audience members to maintain high-quality visuals. If you're experiencing any graphical issues or would like more information, our support team is ready to assist you. Your feedback is invaluable in our ongoing efforts to enhance the game. If you have any more thoughts or require further assistance, please reach out to us at millionaire@spe.sony.com. Thank you once again for your insightful feedback.

Back with a bang!

I often find myself looking for a quiz game to play with my friends and family but unfortunately whenever I looked the games I found were disappointing. They lacked either personality or quality and would often be plagued with ads… that was the case until I downloaded this game. The developers have done a superb job of capturing the authenticity of the show whilst also making a new and exciting game mode where I can play against past contestants! These ‘champions’ scenarios really test my knowledge over a variety of eras and have been a great addition to what is already a spectacular game. The game offers all that I could ask for with an easy to use UI, a vast range of challenging questions and NO ADS! It truly is a fantastic millionaire experience! I can see myself playing this game a ton in my quest to reach the top of the leaderboards and look forward to playing with my family during the Christmas week. To conclude, this is an excellent game and I strongly recommend it. Good luck to those who challenge me… I’ll be seeing you on the leaderboards!
