Not good on phone. Too small
I purchased this as we are enjoying all the other books currently on sale. Unfortunately the text on this one is 1.5 mm tall on my iPhone 6s Plus. I don’t recommend this for a phone. It needs to be on a iPad.
Not up to LLLL’s High Standard
The Little Learners Love Literacy are a great set of Apps, but this one is not up to the standard we were expecting for a beginners ABC book. With Stages 1-4 of their books the App will read along to the child, but Milo’s Birthday Surprise does not. Given that a child needs to know their alphabet and the sounds the letters make before they start reading, this App should read the words out to teach the child. There is only one audio song in the App that does not link to any of the pages of the book. If the book read the sounds and words out to the child then this would be a 5 Star App. Here’s hoping that an update is released to finish this App of to the standard it should be for the price.

We originally rated this as 2 Stars, but have figured out how to get the different songs to play. The song either needs to finish or you need to tap the guitar on each page to manually load the new pages song, it does not change automatically when you change pages. While the songs are OK, we would still prefer that the book read along and highlighted the words to teach the sound of the letters.
