Lack of 26.6 functionality

I am using an iPhone 16 Pro Max with the 26.6 Public Beta, and the app will not load. While I appreciate the update released today, 6/22/026, it doesn’t seem to have fixed the app loading issue.

Lack of 26.6 functionality

The app will not work with 26.6

Latest update crashes.

It just crashes at opening. Can’t use.

A paradoxical approach

It is hard to understand why someone would upgrade from a version that works very well to one that works very poorly.

Response from developer

Hi, I've updated the app to fix the rare crashes that might have been affecting you. Please let me know if the new version still has issues by emailing support@mimirpodcasts.app

Für einen fünften Stern fehlen Features

Soweit, so gut. VoiceBoost, TrimSilence … alles vorhanden.

This app ticks a lot of boxes

It's very intuitive and clean to use. Nice drag and drop support on the MacOS version really helps manage the queuing and playlist management. It also handles downloading by cleanly putting the files into a folder you can access. This makes it easy to load up a flash drive for older cars that don’t have CarPlay. It works on MacBooks all the way back to MacOS 11 and on IOS as old as 15. I have a mix of new and old hardware and most other Podcast apps expect you to have nearly new hardware and most assume you are streaming everything.

Got to admit it’s getting better all the time!

I’ve been a pocket casts user for a decade now. I keep coming back to check on Mimir’s development. I can finally say that I’m now making the switch.

What I love:
• Cross platform sync via iCloud.
• The CarPlay interface is excellent.
• Podcast and episode management just feels right, unlike most apps out there.
• Silence skip actually works well.
• Can mark a whole podcast or category as played.

Dreams:
• Streaming episodes without downloading, especially on macOS.
• Mark episode as played from CarPlay now playing screen.

why can’t I see an episode description but only the title?

Best way to organise podcasts

I tried out loads of podcast apps, and this won easily in the nice grouping of podcasts.
The silence skip and ability to have settings per podcast makes it even more powerful.
Use it a lot, and in the car with CarPlay too

5 stars, but…

Definitely 5 stars for iPhone - which is the drive I use Mimir the most. Syncing content with other devices can be tricky. Still the best player I’ve used so far.

Great! — One small suggestion ...

Love this app ... it's now my go-to for all my podcasts.

One request: Could you add some shorter intervals for the sleep timer? 5, 10, 15 minutes would be very useful for falling asleep without burning too much of the podcast.

Best podcast app

I have come to a conclusion this has to be the best podcast app for iOS and macOS desktop app. It sync really well and also it has a beautiful design only negative I have to write would be continues play, could a bit more easy to enable I hope the developer will maybe make that easier to enable.

Perfect if you listen on an MP3 player

I recently got an MP3 player, and spent hours trying to find an easy way to automatically download new episodes of podcasts I listen to as mp3 files, so that I could easily transfer them to my device. Finally, I found this app and it is perfect!

Untrustworthy

I’ve had episodes I haven’t listened to marked as played. I’ve had podcasts I’ve subscribed to disappear. I want to like the app but I just don’t trust it to manage things.

Search crashes on iOS 18

Whenever a podcast is searched for in the Discover page, the app crashes. Additionally, in the regular podcast page, typed text is not visible.

Migliore app per podcast!

L’ho provata perché l’abbonamento è incluso con SetApp. Non c’è paragone con Apple Podcast, Spreaker o Spotify… riproduzione continua, controllo della velocità, skip dei momenti di silenzio.

My favorite

This is my favorite podcast app, I tried many but this is perfect for my taste and usage. I like the straightforward features and it has better layout than apple podcast. other podcasts layout is too confusing too me. but Mimir just hit the middle ground in features and simplicity.

Bien

J’aime bien, présentation plus sobre que l’application native iOS.
Synchro cloud dispo
Fonctionne bien sur mon ancien Mac 2015, alors que ce dernier n’arrivait pas à lire certains podcasts auparavant

a very small feature idea

Coming from old iTunes-based podcast listening. I use a non-Apple mp3 player (I don't carry a phone, long story). Since Apple's Podcast app is so over-simplified and user-hostile, and its display of information is so graphic based (I prefer dense text), I gravitated quickly to Mimir. I've only used it three times, but so far so gool

Suggestion: I'd like to restrict the display of recent episodes of each podcast, to say, the ten most recent. This lets me focus on relevant items, yet still maintains high density of information.

Thanks for the app! I'm considering upgrading to Pro, but want to use it a while longer.
