DISGUSTING SCAMMY APP
TLDR:: I used the free trial, got charged after the end date, and because the subscription was discounted, (I did not even choose it) I cannot be refunded by apple, attempted to contact them directly via website, 10+ days till I can even expect an answer from auto reply email.
I was looking for an app like Duolingo to learn the C and C++ language, and Mimo popped up. Much like any other app, I started the free trial without thinking much of it, I explore a bit and upon finding there’s no C course, and I stopped using it and forgot about it about it. Then a couple days later I get charged an absurd amount, that I find to be the annual subscription for this app. I contest it on apple’s site twice, but both times I am denied, the reasoning being that despite my total lack of use, and having asked the refund literally the day after being charged, and NOT EVEN having chosen the subscription post-trial myself, the annual subscription was discounted and therefore I cannot receive a refund. This is an ill-intentioned practice at best. I have now requested a refund again through their official website, and I was told I will have to wait 10+ days before even hoping for a reply. Should this, hopefully, be a complete oversight or a mistake, I will be glad to update this review, but as of now, it just feels like a scam. UPDATE: No money back, their helpline is worthless and apple does not help either this app and its money hungry developers can go to hell

Great app!
Overall this app is like the Duolingo of coding. The only problem is that without the paid subscription, you can only do 2 lessons a day. I also love how this app is suitable for complete beginners! (I did still write a line or 2 of code on a small website prior to installing mimo.)
One small problem
Please stop making it say I need to do an account. I’m just a kid and I don’t wanna pay for it. My mom and dad aren’t gonna pay it so please remove that and make it free and please re-add the build feature and give everybody 10 free builds no stopping it stopped at one build out of my three bills I can make for free

mimo is good, but
extremely good, but there is a key system where you can only do a specific amount of lessons a day unless you have the pro version.

Would love to give four stars, remember decent lessons that I want to come back to, but it’s completely broken and inaccessible for me now. Every page says “oops - something went wrong, try again later” and haven’t been fixed in weeks. I even reloaded the app, same deal. A shame…

I miss when you had 5 lives instead of two keys. Getting 5 questions wrong seemed like a good benchmark to ensure that someone is keeping up with the material. Slick money grab though with the key purchase I suppose
Very good
I’ve learned a lot from this app. Sometimes you can tell the questions are written either by AI or a non-native English speaker because they don’t say what they mean and you have to decipher the intent of the question as opposed to the actual question. The auto-complete keyboard suggestions sometimes mess up the formatting and you have to quit and restart the app to be able to submit your answers the way they’re displayed on screen. Aside from these issues and bugs it’s a pretty good app and a person can learn a lot for free. I would recommend it.

La aplicación está genial aunque su versión gratuita no deja que los usuarios realmente interesados aprendan es muy limitada. Creo que de seguir la pauta de Dúo ósea como dúo pide los pagos estaría TOP 1 porque realmente está fenomenal pero es reemplazable con cualquier IA que te enseñe gratis o otras apps como Sololearn que no están tan bien como esta pero incluye un plan gratis no tan restringido como esta.
