Awesome

This app is great

Amazing

This was much more interesting than expected. Mindclear interpreted my speech and wrote a blandified Note. It was hard to find the original transcript which was terrible - missed words, but the content appeared in the Note version. The Journal and the Summary versions were more helpful with the details actually spoken.

It is strange to have AI’s opinion on what was said. Very strange indeed. It is quite seamless. I was glad to be able to find the original transcript.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m glad MindClear was more interesting than expected and that the Journal and Summary versions were helpful. I totally get what you mean about AI interpreting speech—it can feel a bit strange at first! The goal is to make notes clearer and more structured while keeping the details intact. And yes, the original transcript is always available for reference, so you can see exactly what was captured. I really appreciate your feedback and will keep working to make the app even better. Thanks for trying it out! 😊

Unethical 🤡s

Why are developers sooooo GREEDY???
Maybe you all strive to be like the orange umpa Loompa pretending to be a king when in reality you’re just grifters out to see who can lie most in hopes of being like Donny J

Almost good - with a big problem

The Achilles heel of this app is that it uses Apple’s speech recognition to transcribe your dictation which is vastly inferior to other solutions, like OpenAI whisper. So you start with a very poor quality transcription, with no punctuation, missing parts and incorrectly recognized words… and it’s a losing battle from there on. With a low quality original, no matter how good the AI rewriting is, it can’t get information back that was lost during transcription - GIGO.

Two additional tips:
1. Counting down from 20…? Why? Do I really need to know how many less minutes than 20 I dictated instead of… well, just how many minutes I dictated?

2. You have the whole screen. Plenty of space for a huge pause button that I can tap with my thumb even without looking instead of wasting the whole screen on white space and having a tiny pause button too close to the stop button. For actual dictation where I often stop to think about the next thing I want to say and pause frequently, the pause button is literally the most important part of the UI.

These points could be fixed, the app has great potential - now let’s see if the developer listens…

Response from developer

Update: I have made the changes request, - Bigger Pause Button - Better UI Layouts - Faster Transcription Please update the app to the latest version and give it a test, looking forward for you feedback on this :) ---- Wooow, what an amazing feedback, Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and suggestions. I hear you on the transcription quality—right now, MindClear uses Apple’s speech recognition for its smooth integration, but I know it’s not perfect. I’m always looking for ways to improve, and better transcription is definitely something I want to explore. As for the countdown timer, I get your point! A simple time display might be more intuitive, so I’ll take that into consideration. And the pause button—totally agree! Making it bigger and easier to tap without looking sounds like a great improvement, especially for longer dictations. I’m always listening and really appreciate your support. Thanks again for your feedback, and I hope to make MindClear even better for you in future updates! 😊 To ship those updates ASAP ;)

Great app

Easy to use, easy to follow!

Pending

Like so many other software developers, they want me to give a rating and rave about a product I haven’t even used. I just now came on board. So that five stars may change when I actually use it for the first time. We shall see.

Well worth it

Five star

I got the app for free through the app advice app and I think its capabilities are great

Privacy policy?

I’m a bit skeptical about the App Store‘s privacy policy claiming it only collects diagnostic information. Clearly this requires cloud access and so all the data that you’re putting into it including your audio and the transcript of that audio is being sent, but that’s not reflected in the privacy policy. It should say usage data is also collected even if it’s not tied to your identity.
