No export feature

I used Mindly 1 and love the concept. However there is no option to export in text or poll as in v1

Why

I can’t create anymore in the old app without getting the new app, but now I have to pay for the new app?! I don’t usually complain about this stuff, and I have never left a bad review on anything. But someone in charge needs to know that THAT is way too much money to pay for something I can do on a piece of paper. The only difference between this app and a pen and paper, WAS(emphasis on the was) that it is more convenient and takes up less space then carrying a notebook everywhere. Now, becuase of the changes made, I would rather carry the notebook. I LOVED the old app. And now I will never be able to use it again.

Paid once and now they want me to pay again - no way

I bought Mindly and use it occasionally.

I came to use I and was forced to get Mindly 2 that is now a subscription. I did not agree and I did not put a time limited licence.

I will now delete the App and made a note never to buy anything from this developer again.

Ps please can you refund me my original purchase price as you’ve unintentionally terminated our agreement.

Annoyed

Honestly, just annoyed that I gotta see an ad for this every time I open the original app. Upon downloading, it’s clear you got a subscription model on the 2nd. So basically, I don’t want 2, but I have to be punished with the ad for it now. Classy, guys.

Edit. Oh, wait, no. You don’t even get to use 1. They just killed it. Trashy company. I hope this rots.

Looks like it will too. One review above 1 star? And it’s probably a family friend or something…

Failed to create an account

Why the app is made live when no one can create an account or login ? Tried few times in last few days but status is same which shows developer is not looking for feedback or upgrade by removing bugs and make user experience smooth.

Shady practices

Deleting the original mindly app and wiping out my data when I had paid for the app is a shady practice that needs to be highlighted.

stupid

7-day free trial??????? the app is supposed to be FREE for EVERYONE. no one needs to pay money for mapping their mind. cash grab freaks

Scam!!!

If you have problems I need to contact the developper, good luck! It is impossible! All they have is a FAQ, and if your problem is not there, well tough (which is my case) I have tried to find a way to contact them without success, so I was pushed to write a review. I have bought the "lifetime" of the first version of Mindly which I was using until I got a new phone a few days ago. They decided to release the second version and the previous version is no where to been seen. ( so they could push people into subscription mode?) As this app still exist and has only been upgraded and the do called "lifetime" subscribers have no access to it is appalling. It is absurd that this apps can get away from selling lies. Not worth any stars. I'm scratching my head as why does it appear 5 stars in app search, when the only review before mine is 1 star.

Do Not Trust your info to this app

I bought the app and used it for years, keeping an important set of notes. They wanted more money, so they killed the app. I lost my notes.

Do Not Trust this app with anything important.

Much worse than the original, with less features. I paid for the original because I thought it was a good app that was worth the price, but this one is definitely not worth the cost. Just go for another app instead.

Extreme disappointment

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the recent update to Mindly, which has transitioned from a free service to a mandatory paid subscription model. Not even sure how to get to my data since the original app no longer works.

Fewer features than the original

I’m scratching my head trying to figure out why the developer removed many features from the original app for version 2 , including the entire ipadOS support, and is also now charging for it ? I’m fine with paying for it but why, when it’s a step down from v1 which I relied on for years?

If you have the original app, don’t delete it , because you can’t find it on the store anymore and version 2, as I mentioned , is bereft of features and the dev wants 35 dollars for a year subscription for it. My question is : why

Bring back the original or add IPad support

The original app worked great. Optimized for fast input and easy to visually track additions and connections as you went. Since a lot of my maps can be complicated, even on my iPad it took up quite a bit of screen real estate. Now it’s a phone only version with no iPad support. They’ve made my go to quick entry mind-mapping app completely useless to me. The added “features” are mostly cosmetic. 1-star.

Mindly 1 was better

Just got back into Mindly for the new year and it’s no longer full screen on my iPad. I can’t see all my elements at once like I used to. Just not as useful anymore. Disappointed.

Downgrade

This version doesn’t scale to iPad and has a less clean interface for it. Would have paid for the original, won’t for this one. Super disappointed - hoped I could use the original fully by paying for it but I guess I would have had to do that sooner.

Disabled previous version when they released this

Instead of stopping updates for the previous version, they disabled creating new maps. Since mind mapping formats can’t simply be moved between apps like a .doc or .xls file can, you’re forced to start all over any time they release a new version.

Can’t gain access

“An email verification has been sent”

It hasn’t

Can’t gain access, I can see this has been reported by another person having same issue

Horrible experience

Beware of unethical developer practices by this entity. I wouldn't rely my valuable information and time spent on using this app due to its lack of understanding how to support their software and customers in a longer run.

Beautiful, but...

The new version of the app is beautifully redesigned — clean, modern, and genuinely pleasant to use. Even an issue from the older Mindly app has been fixed: the connecting elements that formed concentric circles were sometimes not properly aligned, but this has now been corrected. The new note-editing options, like bullet points and adjustable text sizes, were features that were truly missing before, and it's excellent to see them added. Maybe in the future, options like colors or different typefaces could be included as well.

What is absolutely essential, however, is restoring the export functionality. In the old Mindly app, I could export a mind map as a PDF, a text version, or a Mindly file. I depended on that. I actually used two paid versions of Mindly — one for personal use and my studies, and another for work — and I would occasionally send a mind map (via mail) from one app to the other. That seems to be impossible now.

In daily work life, especially when using Mindly professionally, you often need to export a map as a PDF or as text so you can integrate it into a PPT or process it further elsewhere. Without export options, the app becomes more of a novelty than a real tool. If export functionality returns, it becomes a serious, practical app again.

I'm still giving it five stars because the interface is exceptionally well done — but the missing export functionality (or at least I haven't found it anywhere) is absolutely essential and truly key.
