Why
Paid once and now they want me to pay again - no way
I came to use I and was forced to get Mindly 2 that is now a subscription. I did not agree and I did not put a time limited licence.
I will now delete the App and made a note never to buy anything from this developer again.
Ps please can you refund me my original purchase price as you’ve unintentionally terminated our agreement.
Annoyed
Edit. Oh, wait, no. You don’t even get to use 1. They just killed it. Trashy company. I hope this rots.
Looks like it will too. One review above 1 star? And it’s probably a family friend or something…

Response from developer
Thanks for sharing your concerns — we’re really sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused. To clarify: Mindly 2 is a completely new, separate app, rebuilt from the ground up. It uses a new cloud-based architecture (sync, sharing, collaboration, and future features), which is why it has its own app listing and a subscription model to support ongoing development and infrastructure. The original Mindly app has not been converted into a subscription. If you previously purchased the lifetime version, your purchase is still valid in the original app, and your data remains there. You can re-download the original Mindly from the App Store → Profile → Apps → My Apps → search Mindly.
Fewer features than the original
If you have the original app, don’t delete it , because you can’t find it on the store anymore and version 2, as I mentioned , is bereft of features and the dev wants 35 dollars for a year subscription for it. My question is : why
Bring back the original or add IPad support
Mindly 1 was better
Downgrade
Disabled previous version when they released this

Horrible experience
Beautiful, but...
What is absolutely essential, however, is restoring the export functionality. In the old Mindly app, I could export a mind map as a PDF, a text version, or a Mindly file. I depended on that. I actually used two paid versions of Mindly — one for personal use and my studies, and another for work — and I would occasionally send a mind map (via mail) from one app to the other. That seems to be impossible now.
In daily work life, especially when using Mindly professionally, you often need to export a map as a PDF or as text so you can integrate it into a PPT or process it further elsewhere. Without export options, the app becomes more of a novelty than a real tool. If export functionality returns, it becomes a serious, practical app again.
I'm still giving it five stars because the interface is exceptionally well done — but the missing export functionality (or at least I haven't found it anywhere) is absolutely essential and truly key.
Cash Grab
This is awful. I had been using the original one to hold memories - childhood memories, friends, networks, things I’m worried I’ll forget and wanted to jot down in a mindscape-style format. The original app was so nice for that. But I’m going to have to move all of my work somewhere else now, because after years of perfectly-fine-awesome app, suddenly they brick the old one just to make you pay for what is almost certainly just the same thing.
