Insights Feature Doesn’t Work

I’d love to give it five stars but the insights feature doesn’t work so I can’t track my progress

Vascular Dementia

I’m caring for someone with severe symptoms of dementia &, though they zone out and get confused at times, this app keeps them interested and focused longer than most things. Thank you for this app.

Too difficult for middle stage dementia

Way too difficult for someone with dementia

App promises much but doesn’t deliver

I find this app difficult to use quite opaque, even arcane. The interactive bit is infuriatingly patronising.I can read but find video exhausting, so I just won’t be watching any. I find the whole workout thing childish. I get my 10000 steps per day walking my dogs through a wonderful forest which is very quiet and soothing for them and for me. Of course, you will never know this because I don’t have HealthKit. And I can’t afford the exorbitant subscriptions.
The mind games are okay, I suppose, but get boring pretty soon. I prefer crosswords which have more variety.
All in all a work in progress, I would say. However, I shall persevere, using it eclectically, and not worrying about what the app isn’t delivering for me. I was really hoping for something that would be a MindMate helping me to micromanage my daily routines. In my 78 year I think that is what I really need in a MindMate.

Great App!

First, it’s actually *fun* which keeps me engaged but it’s also challenging-it seems to be helping me to focus. Some of the puzzles are harder and I want to go back to the easier ones (which are obviously more fun!) but I’ve been trying to stick with the tougher puzzles to exercise the old brain! But the bottom line is that I’m enjoying the puzzles and I feel I’m gaining some ground on improving both my memory and my ability to complete tasks that require better focus in real life. 🤓👍 Thanks Mind Mate!

Everyday

Everyday the MindMate awakens me to possibilities and Ian so grateful!!

Interesting and fun

Glad I found this app

Too hard to get started

Someone with dementia could never navigate through the setup, startup, and initial stages of the app! (Ask me how I know.) I had to do it for them. The initial “testing” is way too daunting for anyone with even mild cognitive impairment. Please make this accessible to the people who need it most. (Another person could set it up for them, but the setup module should be clearly separated from the main module, which should require NOTHING to “play.”)

Disappointing

For an app designed for seniors, it is shockingly INaccessible. The font is very thin and does not adapt to large print accessibility settings. The games have unclear instructions. There is no help or support

Holistic Mindset

Comes with simple recipes and exercise’s
Healthy tips with links to YouTube videos
Very much tries to help improve all the different aspects of your mind for freeeeee

Mind mate

I am a PSW (Personal Support Worker ) with Alzheimer's Society. I have clients who looks forward to me pulling out my IPAD so they can start playing the games. I love to watch them and I also engage. They are of all ages and are quite fast on some games. They LOVE the colour blocks. I remind them not to look at the colour but the word. My only complaint is they don’t update the games and if not on line, which most elderly don’t have internet, hangman is only three letter word and repetitive. Please consider updating your games to encourage other PSWs to use your site. Thank you for putting out a site that engages and intrigues those with this disease 💙

Best app for brain training

This is literally the best app for brain training I’ve found in the past few good years. Not only entertaining games bur also training and videos.

App is ok

App is ok. But when you set up, it tells you to indicate any health conditions. So I put that I am Type 2 diabetic. But they they recipes gives sugar filled recipe. Not appropriate for my health condition. Recipes could be better suited to health conditions.

The feedback part doesn’t work

I get no days completed no matter how many days I do. It doesn’t track my progress. I get the same game at the same level. Something is wrong.

Workshop

It is good on train but I can do this all the time.

Transphobic App

You can only use this app if you identify as male or female. So unless your cyst gender for subscribe to a binary concept of gender this app doesn’t allow you to proceed past the first question. You would think understand age that developers would realise that there are a lot of people in the world and they’re not all maybe like them..

Fun

There’s a lot more to this app than just brain games. I haven’t delved in too deep in to the recipes and exercises but they seem very informative. My favorite part of this app is the sudoku game
