About

Mindrest is a mood journal and daily check-in for noticing how you really are. Three small notes a day, under a minute each — and after two weeks, a picture of your own life you can actually read. Morning, afternoon and evening, Mindrest asks how you're feeling, then four short questions. After a fortnight, your answers are gathered into one clear view: what kept coming up, how often, and what was going alright. No streaks to protect. No scores. No ads. Just your own words, kept safe and handed back to you. DAILY MOOD CHECK-INS • Three quick check-ins: morning, afternoon and evening • Under a minute each, with reminders you control • Miss one and nothing scolds you — the gaps are part of the picture too • A two-week reflection that shows what came up and what helped A JOURNAL THAT DOESN'T DEMAND MUCH • Write as little or as much as you like • Stuck on a blank page? Get one small, specific prompt instead of "how was your day" • Search your entries, and delete one or all of them whenever you want BREATHING EXERCISES & GROUNDING 15 guided exercises, each with a short video that moves at the pace you're meant to breathe — something to follow, not a number to count. • Four in, seven held, eight out — for when sleep won't come • Five, four, three, two, one — grounding for a racing mind • The double breath — the sigh your body already knows • Box breathing, even breathing, and longer out than in • Body scan, feet on the floor, and leaves on water • Worry window, name it to tame it, and winding down Steps can be read aloud, so you can close your eyes and just listen. 18 SELF-GUIDED COURSES Short lessons, a few minutes each, on the things that actually come up: worry, low days, sleep, loneliness, panic, anger, comparison, grief, getting started when you don't want to, and talking to yourself like someone you like. No video calls, no homework, no one waiting on you to finish. CALM PIANO 15 Chopin recordings — nocturnes, mazurkas and preludes — to write to, relax with, or simply sit with. They keep playing while you use the rest of the app. AN AI CHAT, IF YOU WANT ONE Somewhere to think out loud. It asks short questions and reflects back what you said. It isn't a person, it doesn't remember you between conversations, and it will never tell you what's wrong with you. AI features are off until you turn them on, and your conversation stays on your iPhone. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Use Mindrest without creating an account • Lock the app with Face ID or a four-digit code • Sign in with Apple or Google, only if you want to • AI features are off by default and can be turned off anytime • Analytics count screens opened — never what you write • No ads, and no tracking across other apps • Delete your account and all your data from Profile, permanently WHAT MINDREST IS NOT Mindrest is not a medical device and is not a substitute for care from a professional. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it will never tell you what your answers mean about you. If something urgent is happening, Mindrest shows crisis lines for your country rather than trying to handle it itself. Made by an independent developer.
