Unresolvable login and verification issues.

It has gone downhill

I started out loving this app, in theory the best chat out there, but then they stopped doing updates for iPhones and it does not work right anymore. I can’t tell different chat rooms apart, it has a bunch of decrypting errors and just stopped being good.

Best of both worlds…

Minds dedication to freedom of speech and data privacy is well-known. Matrix is fast becoming the de facto standard for decentralized and encrypted communication. Minds could have continued to invest in their own walled chat functionality of their platform. Instead, they did a power move and brought the [matrix] protocol and Element chat app into their ecosystem. It’s social media messaging meets email level interoperability. This is a move that is more game changing and impactful then Facebook buying WhatsApp. Walled gardens aren’t going up, they’re coming down. I hope researchers for big tech corporations and other independent platforms are observing and learning from the success of Minds and [matrix]. There are no losses here, only wins.

Nice app

Given is element fork, is just as good as element (obviously).
Few things shuffled around, few less icons at the bottom menu makes for cleaner UI imo.

Auto login (using browser) fixed now aka don’t need uninstall minds app before logging in, but that was the case with element too so... both fixed.

Those who don’t know what minds is. Just a reminder you will need to have active minds com account- as there’s no way to log in with password (aka you must be logged into minds account already before logging into minds chat)

I sill recommend to try not
