What an amazing sound from such a small speaker. The sound is clear, Hi Fi quality and loud if you want. The App allows enough tone adjustment (reduce the excellent bass for speech for example). Why it isn’t a top selection on the comparison review sites is a mystery !
Many thanks - but had me puzzled a while
Been looking forward to more channels in the equaliser like I have with my minirig 3 app. However using my iPhone SE 2020 I found it near impossible to use the "rotating" control for Bass or for Treble. I kept trying touching the yellow dot on the perimeter of the circle to drag it round but it just jumped and did not follow my finger.
Then the penny dropped. You slide your finger up/down and the dot ROTATES. Bit like the double tap and slide in Apple Maps to zoom. So well done developers - we have an optional advanced mode and even then a choice of 5 channel sliders plus simple bass and treble knobs.
Developers have been having fun. Just seen the options for the led display.

Fine with MRBT4
Takes a while to connect but worked with both of my speakers and let me update firmware. Feature toggles for party/vu mode seem to work and save correctly. Takes a bit of time for them to load… and the volume slider doesn’t work super well, but I don’t need an app for that.

Awful app that does NOTHING you want it to. Requires a wiki just to get anything done or figure out how to use it. Waste of time, just buy a multipack of aux cords if you ever want to connect them
App update
Very basic app that is in need of updates to improve functionality with the Minirig 4. A move back to the 5 band equaliser would be a good start!

Ive had nothing but problems with the Minirig 4 - not even convinced the sound quality is as good as the 3. Would not recommend.

Downloaded the app and connected to new minirig 4 and updated the software - minirig now crackles every time use app to change volume - better off without it!

Music stutters whilst playing with the app open. Struggles to connect to app when playing music. Eq needs more control similar to previous Minirig app. App as a whole needs more attention and updates to be competitive with other brands. Really brings the experience of owning a Minirig speaker down when the software is so poorly supported.

Great speakers, terrible App!
Fantastic speakers for their size from a great company in Bristol, UK. Unfortunately the App is terrible, won’t connect to my two Minirig 4s (plus sub) so I have no way of updating firmware or adjusting the EQ settings. Please give us a better App to match the sound quality of the Minirigs!

Works great. Updated my MINIRIG 4 sounds great. Would love the ability to set it to VU meter by default otherwise great bit of kit.

No connection issues and all of the controls seem to work as intended. Fantastic work from the Minirigs team on the Minirig 4!
