About
MinOTP is a private two-factor authenticator for iPhone and Apple Watch. Minimum effort, maximum security.
WHAT IT DOES
• Time-based and counter-based one-time codes (TOTP and HOTP) with SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512 and MD5, 6 to 8 digits, any period.
• Add accounts by scanning a QR code, pasting an otpauth:// link, or typing the secret.
• Tap a code to copy it. Codes count down with a ring, a bar, or flipping flaps, depending on the skin you pick.
ON YOUR WRIST
• The Apple Watch app shows every account counting down, with a zoomed dial for the one you need and a Next Code button for counter-based accounts.
• A watch-face complication (a lock inside the countdown arc) opens your list with one tap.
• Four list densities on the watch, from comfortable to a tight ticker.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Seven skins: Meridian, Cipher, Stamp, LED Clock, Departures, LCD and Flipper.
• Colour labels to mark the accounts that matter most.
• Folders when you want them, one simple list when you don't. Drag to reorder.
• Service icons or emoji, search, light and dark mode, English and German.
SWITCHING FROM OTP AUTH
• Opens OTP Auth backup files (.otpauthdb) and single-account files (.otpauth) directly from Files, AirDrop or Mail. Type the backup password on your phone and every account, folder and icon comes across.
• Exports backups in the same format, so you are never locked in.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. MinOTP never connects to the internet unless you turn on iCloud sync.
• Secrets are encrypted on the device with a key in the Keychain and protected by Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode.
• Optional iCloud sync encrypts your vault on the device before it reaches your private iCloud database, so Apple only stores ciphertext.
• Widgets for the home and lock screen, and Siri: "Get my GitHub code in MinOTP."
