User reviews

Blank

Just a blank screen. It won't function, and I really want to teach myself Chinese.

Does not work

Just shows blank screen. Does not work.

Great voice

Her voice sounds very clear.

Great idea, but please make it useable!

So the app basically provides example sentences for different grammatical structures such as "making comparisons", looks like about 3 sentences for each grammatical function.
The audio is great. The visual aid and text is good. Once you select a category, it will auto-play through the examples and you can select individual words to see the English gloss. The problem is, you cannot pause the program to review audio, practice pronunciation, or study the sentence structure in detail. You will see the sentence for about 8 seconds as the audio plays and have a very short time to review before it will continue to the next track. Unless I am missing something, this appears to be a great learning tool that simply lacks needed functionality to allow the user to study the content in detail. A pause button and a navigation scroller for reviewing the audio recordings, as well as "next" and "previous" buttons would make this app so much more useful. Seems like this app is still in development stages so hopefully this will be resolved soon!
